Sorry, I do retract that. Kerry and Speedo and Nevin were my absolute hero’s. I guess there is a little bit of me thinking that he was of a different era when football was less pointlessly complicated.

Spot on Snedger. I was priviledged to have been in the Clock End at Arsenal along with thousands of other Chelsea boys when he smashed home this iconic goal in 1984.

And the comedy image in my head of Speedo and Kerry coming to blows off the pitch. Must have been a bloody stool involved.

We owned them that day in and out of the ground Loz. The numbers we took there was phenominal.

I also remember how certain so many of us were that our new left back Mr. D. Rougvie was going to be the best left back in Europe.

Big Doug. Pace of a tractor and tackled like a wild one. And a smile to scare kids at Halloween

Having said that, at this time, some sort of magic combining prime Osgood, Dixon, Haselbaink and Drogba into one player would still struggle to lift this team to a home victory over Sunderland.

How did he get on on Strictly out of interest?

What the f**k are they doing passing the ball forwards so quickly?

Don't they understand football?

I can't wait for him to be back. It would solve a lot of our problems going forward.

He won't. No one player can solve our problems going forward. Maresca's tactics make it impossible. Not even Palmer can solve it.

Delap has demonstrated he has a discipline problem on more than one occasion. He is naive at best at fool at worst. He doesnt add enough to make him a guaranteed starter, this red will set him back He can't be trusted. Dont think we need him i d be happy if we got rid. Really disappointed with him tonight.

Has to be one of the weirdest cameos I’ve ever seen. Ref gave him a break with the first elbow, but then he goes and does it again! Was he trying to get himself sent off? What was going through his mind? It beggars belief especially as he’s been out for so long with an injury. Just really bloody strange.

I understand getting over excited because of how long he's been out, but that was absolutely stupid, Maresca has every right to fuming at him, that could have cost us the game and it would have been one of the most embarrassing cup exit we've ever had. I like him as a player but if he can't curb his enthusiasm/idiocy then he's never making it at the elite level.

I think he has been gaslight as the second coming of Costa because we have had such dross in that position.

In reality he has done nothing since being here, scoring one eye catching goal in the CWC, which tbh the keeper was rubbish for. Even in that tournament all he wanted to do was try to rough up everyone

There is reason why this guy only had a 30m release clause. The guy needs to prove that he possesses the tools to be a proper pro. We have seen no evidence yet. Ah but he's young though, so it's fine.

I have it narrowed down to two possibilties:

  1. He has been watching our games and figured red cards impress Maresca.

  2. He really did not want to go Spurs on Saturday.

He’s obviously a cliched fick cant footballer whose lavish ego finds controlling his quickfire temper challenging to say the least (he got red and displayed this petulance in the CWC so Like Jacko before him has limited capability at learning lessons) the ideal striker for seasoned defenders to play against and wind up like a clockwork 🐰
