July 31, 2025Jul 31 It's so irritating that the rumour just won't go away, I think it's a near the end of the window jobby where United will have to drop their price and we get him. With Quenda coming next season though it seems like a pointless signing.
July 31, 2025Jul 31 I've already coped enough into accepting the Garnacho transfer that very obviously will be happening.Fabrizio is our most in tune ITK and he's been keeping this link alive single handedly for months. Even after Gittens, has persisted. Even through the Xavi Simons emergence, continued reiterating that it's a seperate 'idea' to Garnacho. He's coming.Signing Garnacho falls under the same bracket as why I could understand Arsenal and their data team being interested in taking a punt on Madueke. Swinging on wingers that generates a lot of box touches, high amounts of non-pen xG and are volume shooters. In theory this is how you scout the next Salah. Garnacho is two years younger though so there are more excuses for his wild inconsistency. I won't pretend to have watched him as closely as I have Madueke so I'm not sure if his issues are as fundamentally damning. Madueke's first touch is abysmal, he doesn't look up when he plays and has no control over his body. Constantly falling over when trying to get a shot off etc.I think the good thing is that Garnacho is young enough that we should be able to recoup money for him if he doesn't do well. It's been said that Maresca wants nine attackers heading into next seasonJoão Pedro, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho, Pedro Neto, Estêvão, Cole Palmer, Xavi Simons. That's eight.Enzo Fernández makes #9?Been playing higher up, I doubt Maresca will ever truly play him DLP. Pivot options are stacked anyways with Caicedo, Lavia, Santos, Essugo (should be Lesley) + the option of inverting or straight up playing James, Gusto, Hato, Cucurella centrally.
August 1, 2025Aug 1 The Garnacho noises are getting louder and Simmons noises are getting quieter.Winstanley loves Garnacho by all accounts and Simmons has gone down to around a 75% of happening according to Fabrizio Romano. My guess is Garnacho is now the priority for the Chelsea Board and Simmons will only happen if the conditions are right, nobody else comes in for him while we wait for Garnacho and we can sell players.

He brokered the Lukaku to Napoli deal, the Caicedo transfer with Brighton, The Madueke to Arsenal sale

Simons raising from 70 to 75% is good news. Not sure why we need 9 attackers but assuming the system will be either 4231 or 433 it does make sense we would need a min of 8 for the former (2 players in each attacking position) I suppose the 9th is there for cover if we get any major injuries. I like Simons and if Gittens or Estevao struggle to adapt in their first season it would be helpful to have a slightly older attacker that you would hope could offer more reliability. He could also hypothetically struggle to adapt, but he does look a quality player based purely what I've seen.Garnacho in my opinion is still a very raw talent but talented nonetheless. I don't see him becoming a superstar here if anything I would imagine he would be flipped and turned into a profit within a few years after showing glimpses. I could be wrong and he could be a revelation. I just wouldn't want him to take mins away from our Brazilian superstar.
August 1, 2025Aug 1 I am against the grain here. I see a great talent in Garnacho. 7 goals and 6 assists in the PL at age 19. Then came the dip, but guess what? The whole United team dipped catastrophically. I have said it before on this thread, but Manchester United is a cesspool where talent dies. Garnacho with a Cucurella behind him at LB can be devastating, he knows how to get in the box and will hurt any team in the attack. He will statistically be better here than at United, which means at worst we will sell him on for £20m profit easily.

August 1, 2025Aug 1 As long as it Simons AND Garnacho, I can stomach it.No Simons and I riot. I know Winstanley personally and I'll be allowing him in on my displeasure first hand with a sternly written haiku folded origami style.
August 1, 2025Aug 1 Thought I’d transfer this picture over to this thread for fans. Think I’m going to post this every time he scores.
August 1, 2025Aug 1 Like everyone else, if its Xavi and Garnacho then im fine with it at the right price. I do think Garnacho is being underrated though, mainly because of how irritating his brother is on social media. Ability wise, I think there isnt much between him and someone like Anthony Gordon, who im sure would be a much more welcome signing. Garnacho offers something a bit different, direct, pacy, shot volume. Nothing like any of the other wingers we have really. From a shear numbers perspective though I dont see a space for him, especially with Quenda coming next season. I guess the club will think if we get him for £30m,he is homegrown, and quite easy to flip for a profit, as he has teams that like him here and in europe, and I also think he is one that Saudi would be keen on too.
August 1, 2025Aug 1 Just realized his brother that chats sh*t is younger than him. Thought it was a big brother looking out for him, but no. It’s a little twat whose balls haven’t dropped yet.

August 1, 2025Aug 1 I really don't want him in the team, he's a twat. If the team can turn him into a professional and keep the bs to a minimum like Gusto, he'd be a hell of a player

Probably about 3 or 4 times then. Not too bad. The moment his ego reverts to form, and he’s having a strop on the bench, in the midst of the many screenshots of dodgy streams in the match day chat thread, once we’ve surpassed 2-3 pages of slagging him off, we’ll throw this in for good measure. Absolute toxic creature, can’t wait till we see the back of him. An idiot like Mudryrk, glorified wing-back, as Seb rightly put.

Depends what attitude he turns up with.I will say from watching quite a bit of him that he makes good runs and can score the spectacular. However if you thought Madueke was ball greedy and wasteful he’s on a whole other level, throw in a bit of horrendous Jackson level misses and you’ve can classify that as a talent of sorts. At 21 (keep seeing 19, is he the new Lingaard?) and the amount of games played he should be getting past that for me.We see countless young players that have an above average technical ability and pace that are seen as the next youth star but in the end have zero football intelligence . This is something that rarely develops from really bad to great. I think Garnacho is in this category.
