Brighton and Hove Albion vs Chelsea (FAC) Sat 8th February 25 20:00 GMT

Some teams tweak it in January to strengthen for the 2nd half of the season, we've made our team even weaker by not addressing our needs and getting rid of players.

This board either has no true ambition or don't understand the competitive nature of English football.

Can we go for a proven manager with a track record of winning things this time…the times we have done in the past we've won things…Tuchel, Conte, Ancelotti, Mourinho, Benitez. Whenever we've tried our luck with mid tier unproven managers we havent won anything…Maresca, Lampard, Potter, Poch, Scholari, AVB. Its not rocket science.

If it was down to me, I would sack him in the tunnel right now.

Clueless. #MarescaOut

Cool. Next manager comes in and Jackson still our only recognized striker and we add 3 more 20 year olds in the team.

What then?

Embarrasing. Poor tactics. Maresca had no answers. We were terrible bar first 20 mins or so. Could not get Palmer in the game for majority of it. Nkunku struggled. Cucurella again chasing square pegs in loose holes because of this inverted FB which left us exposed. We went from having one of the best squads in the league to one of the weakest. How many youthful players off the bench. Ok, Felix most people wanted out but we didn't get a replacement and who was on the bench who looked like changing the game. Just utter lunacy from the board. Thanks God Neto's injury did not look serious and he continued, because we would have been down to bare bones. We were outplayed and deserved the loss today. Same opponent in a few days time. Out the cup. Not surprised. Poor performance. Poor tactics.

Pathetic from our players who are too scared to get physical and don't do their jobs as a result. Won't take on defences, won't go shoulder to shoulder for defensive headers. the less said about their attitude after taking a lead the better. How many games have we lost after going 1-0 up in the first half now?

The manager is clueless too, we Should either be drawing the defenders away from Palmer or taking advantage of the gaps in the defence marking him creates.

Honestly, it reminds me of some of our mid 80’s teams. Uninspiring, devoid of ideas and likely to lose to anyone.

Its pathetic to watch.

They had the right to play like this though. They were sh*t footballers. This lot are supposed to be the cream, the next generation.  They have to be because we are destroying the entire foundations of everything that makes a football club for this lot.

I know Maresca isn't the only problem but tonight showed he's a championship level manager at best. He's even turning Cole Palmer into an ordinary looking player.

That was shocking tonight and Maresca had NO answers. He has to go.

It's not like we go down fighting. It's not difficult to see the players aren't inspired. This is such a damming indictment of Maresca's abilities the board will have to sack him to retain any semblance of credibility.

Sorry days for the club indeed.

No manager that has a proven record and a decent reputation would want to work with these amateurish fckwits in charge of our club

Honestly I’d take Jose now.

He would kick up a fuss massively about not having a striker, better than having a spineless manager who will happily pull their pants down whenever the owners wanted to.

Actually can't wait until he's sacked, it will be like a title win.

Utter clown

Same people thar appointed him, and Poch, and Potter and sacked Tuchel remain in charge. Whos to say we don't just appoint Russell Martin?

The worst thing is I'm not even surprised we lost.

As soon as we get drawn against another Premier League team we was always gonna struggle.

I'm not even confident we'd beat Florentina or Real Betis if we bumped into them in the Conference League.

We are an average team of very young players on small wages - that is our goal with this board.

He didn't even try something different. Sadly he was on holiday the day they did Plan B in manager school.

This is what happens when your squad building and a manager hire are based purely on data analysis. Surprise, surprise, the reality is different.

And these clowns had the audacity to sh*t on the previous regime. What have we become.

Now now whats with this negativity?

There are still fans about that will tell you what we did under yourself Roman was not sustainable and we needed to make this change, focus on doing "great business" and celebrate making money.

Maresca is too stubborn and single minded to be a top class manager but I blame those clowns Laurence and Winstanley leaving us with the sh*te we have. Poor centre halves only 1 proven goal threat in the team (palmer).

Criminal really that no one around Palmer can create or score for sh*t. Caicedo and Palmer the two standouts every single week, it's like this club currently is playing a formation made of a GK, four defenders and Caicedo and Palmer. Others are just there to make the team sheet so we don't have to forfeit the match. Embarrassing.

This board must understand that this squad needs AT LEAST four world class, experienced players in key areas. The likes of Palmer and Caicedo will develop into truly great players, but they need some experienced, top players around them in order to speed that process up.
