We could have a striker and still struggle because Maresca's system won't give them any chance of success. They won't get the service because we play too slow and our attackers just can't create anything out of that.I think it's the other way around, we are too slow and making too many side passes because the offense doesn't offer enough options, which makes it worse without a proper striker. March 9, 20251 yr Important 3 points. It's become very difficult to enjoy a win, I hate this feeling.Up the Blues.

It's his style, it's what he is known for. I think players like Sancho would struggle anyway, but the likes of Neto, Palmer, Nkunku, the midfielders, they would all benefit from a coach that wants to play a lot faster.

March 9, 20251 yr Marescas football is outdated and belongs in the nineties, the best teams all play attacking football, Liverpool, Arsenal, Forest, Bournemouth even Fulham
March 9, 20251 yr We've got no chance against Arsenal. 200m on the midfield yet we have no patterns of play in this area especially in advanced positions. Everything is either at the back or on the wings where the zone/space to play is limited.
March 9, 20251 yr Id play 5 across the back next week all center halfs Jorgensen BadishilleChalobah Tosin Forfana Colwill Lavia Enzo CaicedoPalmer CucurellaArsenal without a striker and their defenders not having anyone to mark

You know, what we call entertainment. So he has purposefully coached this team away from what we were doing to this dross on the basis this is more controlled. I despise whatever this is, cos its not football, and I cannot stand the way this useless manager is destroying the confidence and unity within this team.

March 9, 20251 yr If you realise both Liverpool and Arsenal play a direct controlled game not this useless passing from side to side nonsense.
March 9, 20251 yr Author Rubbish performance, terrible manager setting a poor example celebrating like we won the FA cup after beating this dross.
March 10, 20251 yr Poor performance, but a good result.Need significant improvement if we're going to get something out of the Arsenal game next week.
March 10, 20251 yr 3 points and we conceded nothing, those are the two positives. It help when Leicester offer nothing. Offensively, our gameplan was to whip in crosses for Cucu, Nkunku and Neto. 🤣🤣🤣
March 10, 20251 yr Job done for us on the day, not going to put anyone down, it was a decent performance against a very ordinary team. I mean only 1 nil down, and they did nothing with the ball and looked contend with the score line, not even long balls into the box and hope for a bit of a luck. We got what we needed against the 2 bottom teams, not going to complain. Now , get ready for some real games and prove where we belong.
March 10, 20251 yr That was a tough watch. We were really toothless. We dominated the ball, but barely created anything. The play is just way too slow. Really concerning. I know Neto has been decent up front but I don't like seeing him up front and Nkunku out wide. Just sucks out any fast play. Maresca obviously instructs this, but the play is just poor. No pace at all and I don't see how for the life of me will get anything against Arsenal if we don't change something in the attacking play. I thought Enzo was quite good today, as was Caicedo and Cucurella was very good, even apart from the goal but the attack just looked lost. A win is a win, but performances need to improve. Because against a team that will be relegated. we looked really monotonous.
March 10, 20251 yr Fair to say we're only on for top four because of the work poch did getting this side attacking. 1 nil at home v a championship side. mind numbing

( 2.31 per game down to 1.33 per game )At the other end of the pitch we conceded 19 goals in those first 16, followed by 17 in the last 12 games. So that's got worse as well LOL ( 1.19 GA per game vs now 1.42 )
March 10, 20251 yr Our top 4 position is a reflection on the very poor quality of the Premier League this year. We couldn't have got relegated this year if we had tried. Edited March 10, 20251 yr by OneTommyLangley
