It's not just not having a striker though. We could have a striker and still struggle because Maresca's system won't give them any chance of success. They won't get the service because we play too slow and our attackers just can't create anything out of that.

I think it's the other way around, we are too slow and making too many side passes because the offense doesn't offer enough options, which makes it worse without a proper striker.

We are too slow and making too many side way passes because that is what Maresca wants them to do. It's his style, it's what he is known for. I think players like Sancho would struggle anyway, but the likes of Neto, Palmer, Nkunku, the midfielders, they would all benefit from a coach that wants to play a lot faster.

If Maresca could develop a method of winning 0-0 he would.😐

In all seriousness if he could go 1-0 ahead then keep the ball loads, never have another attempt on goal and hold out for the victory he would.

That’s how he coaches them in my eyes.

Maresca's tactics sure don't help, i agree on that.

I can’t forgive EM for this.

Managers are meant to give players confidence not take it away.

What a negative thing to say, if Leicester said that in 2016 they wouldn’t have won the league.

If you remember earlier in the season when we were winning he was unhappy with how transitional and open we were. You know, what we call entertainment. So he has purposefully coached this team away from what we were doing to this dross on the basis this is more controlled. I despise whatever this is, cos its not football, and I cannot stand the way this useless manager is destroying the confidence and unity within this team.

Marescas football is outdated and belongs in the nineties, the best teams all play attacking football, Liverpool, Arsenal, Forest, Bournemouth even Fulham

Not sure about that. When in the 90s were we playing this fking abysmal style of dross-ball

Poor performance, but a good result.

Need significant improvement if we're going to get something out of the Arsenal game next week.

Job done for us on the day, not going to put anyone down, it was a decent performance against a very ordinary team. I mean only 1 nil down, and they did nothing with the ball and looked contend with the score line, not even long balls into the box and hope for a bit of a luck. We got what we needed against the 2 bottom teams, not going to complain. Now , get ready for some real games and prove where we belong.

That was a tough watch. We were really toothless. We dominated the ball, but barely created anything. The play is just way too slow. Really concerning. I know Neto has been decent up front but I don't like seeing him up front and Nkunku out wide. Just sucks out any fast play. Maresca obviously instructs this, but the play is just poor. No pace at all and I don't see how for the life of me will get anything against Arsenal if we don't change something in the attacking play. I thought Enzo was quite good today, as was Caicedo and Cucurella was very good, even apart from the goal but the attack just looked lost. A win is a win, but performances need to improve. Because against a team that will be relegated. we looked really monotonous.

Fair to say we're only on for top four because of the work Poch did getting this side attacking.

1 nil at home v a championship side. mind numbing

Scored 37 goals in the first 16 PL games, but since Maresca has got the team playing his "system" to "control" games, this has dropped off to 16 goals from 12 PL games. ( 2.31 per game down to 1.33 per game )

At the other end of the pitch we conceded 19 goals in those first 16, followed by 17 in the last 12 games. So that's got worse as well LOL ( 1.19 GA per game vs now 1.42 )

Our top 4 position is a reflection on the very poor quality of the Premier League this year. We couldn't have got relegated this year if we had tried.
