August 28, 2025Aug 28 Having showed the world their fantastic player portfolio management skills, being able to balance our budget without Roman Abramovich billions that we lost due to the changes, meanwhile doing so while building a fantastic team to dominate football for the next 10 years… they finally deserve some respect in their name. Every club you look to and fans you speak with, they will tell you how our negotiations are world class. This thread is to chat about our SDs successes finally starting to show. (If you dislike them and are here to just argue, theres another thread for that)
August 28, 2025Aug 28 I dont think they necessarily deserve respect for doing their job.And further to that i think its wishful thinking to start a thread and to advise people how they should have input or avoid input. ie no disliking , no arguments , only success and respect hmmm.. nice try Edited August 28, 2025Aug 28 by OneTommyLangley
August 28, 2025Aug 28 I said it many times, the owners took the path that they had in mind when they have aquired the club and sticked to it until this day. There is nothing we, as fans, could do about it. Either support the club in their decisions, or constantly moan, but nontheless the owners' decisions would have been the same. The creation of the current Chelsea FC, both on and off the pitch, would have been possible by either doing what they currently do, or by spending big, being Man United bad at selling and pray for CL participation every season. The path they currently follow, by buying young players with resell value if they flop, is the safer option from a business point of view. The second one was way too risky and it is exactly what Man United currently do. They basically play russian roulette with their future because if they fail to reach CL football in the next two seasons and are still selling for peanuts, they are cooked.I did not think that Chelsea would still be the undisputed kings of the transfer market (outgoins wise) after Granovskaia had left, but hats off to the new board for maintaining that unofficial tag.
August 28, 2025Aug 28 Yes, the SD's have been amazing. Never lost money on players. Got the right manager first time, oh and the football we play now is unreal! a genuine 180 to the dross we used to be served up..... oh wait....Oh no....wait. Didnt they sign Sanchez, Nkunku, Disasi, Kellyman, Felix, Jorgensen, Lesley, Enzo and Lavia? All players we would likely lose money on. Oh no...wait. Didnt they sign Jackson - the worst player in Chelsea History, and a player that we now appear to be set to let leave on loan for free.Oh no...wait....are they not already on the 6th manager since taking over (Potter, Bruno Salter, Lamps, Poch, Enzo M)Oh no...wait. Dont we still play awful, boring, sideways, slow, unprogressive dross?

August 28, 2025Aug 28 Isn't it a bit early to praise them on a fantastic team that can dominate for next 10 years? Can you also elaborate on the success finally starting to show part? I'm not really sure what you are referring to.

August 28, 2025Aug 28 Ye the Potter thing was the low point for me. I feel well almost feel sorry for West Ham. Those post match interviews 🙄
August 28, 2025Aug 28 Anyway I'm gonna finish this window on a highA multi pack of Ready Salted andA multi pack of Prawn Cocktail
August 28, 2025Aug 28 What? They basically half rectified their mistakes. The ones sold are a majority of the players they bought that didn't fit the system and could be seen from a mile away. It's a minor profit at best if we take out the youth sales
August 28, 2025Aug 28 This thread isnt going to age well... unless we win the league, Champions League, FA Cup, I'll even take a league cup beating Grimsby in the final. These are the metrics of success, not a hybrid Libatadores once every 4 years and top 4 qualification. May I suggest supporting Arsenal if top four gets you revealing your manboobs and going buck wild at Mardis Gras @Clown Lake
August 28, 2025Aug 28 They just signed Garnacho for £40m with a 10% sell on fee. So they better hope he turns into something great, because 99% of the fanbase have been confused by the interest.

We just got awarded a milestone recognition award for our lifetime achievements, I’m good where I’m at thank you. You can hop on along and join the Arsenal fans since you think it’s so easy changing legions. Otherwise keep that recommendation in your pocket or for your missus, friend. August 29, 2025Aug 29 Ah must be a thread of appreciationfor our amazing directors.Like Trevor Birch. The man who kept us afloat long enough for Roman to save us.Or Peter Kenyon. The man who carried on the recruitment to get Jose and his group of players.or Marina. The award winning director who oversaw our two champions leagues.Great, phenomenal directors.
August 29, 2025Aug 29 I think you spoke too soon. Simons is off to Spuds! One thing we never did under the previous regime was embarrass ourselves and lose a player to those lot. Simons should have been signed a month ago.

Just off the top of my head.We weren't ever that interested in any of these mid players, nowhere near as much as we were with Simon's. We agreed personal terms weeks ago. What was the hold up when it came to making an official bid? Oh wait, busy raising funds because they spent a stupid amount of money which got us a big fine from UEFA, and thinking clubs were stupid enough to pay 80m for Jackson.Let's not forget the tunnel vision when it comes to Garnacho.Even with all of these sales, we didn't have the money to put in a bid for Simon's until it was too late. They f**ked up with this one.
August 29, 2025Aug 29 Certainly takes a "special" talent to identify as targets and then spend nearly £100m on world beaters like Gittens and Garnacho !
August 29, 2025Aug 29 Xavi Simons (winger/CAM) - 178 games / 65 goals / 53 assists. Available for 70M. 51M.Jamie Gittens (winger) - 131 games / 29 goals / 19 assists. Available for 56M.Garnacho (winger) - 198 games / 49 goals / 32 assists. Available for 40M.If you already had Neto, Estevao, Palmer, J.Pedro, T.George, Paez, Quenda (soon). Which signing would you prioritise? Edited August 29, 2025Aug 29 by Ukraine Bolt Edit: X.Simons price
August 29, 2025Aug 29 Just clocked Spurs transfer is 51M for Simons. Absolutely insane that we paid more for Gittens and only slightly less for Garnacho.
