I dont think we are, the keeper is terrible, we have a pair of 19 year old centre backs on the pitch. Chalobah is starting week in week out, and he wouldnt even start for Everton or Palace.

When you put a team of kids out, expect inconsistency. Individually they might have skills but collectively they lack the experience to smell danger. Even on top in the first half gaps were evident, misplaced passes in bad areas. This is what we’ve bought into, no captain figure on the field and a coach who can only play one way.

Would love to see an old style pitch invasion charge by our fans at the final whistle. Straight towards Pepilini and the directors box.

This is the new Chelsea, get used to it, accept it. We are a development/ feeder club now looking to make profits for the owners. The culture is set from the top. Chalobah was starting for Palace though. The defence isn't great, I will give you that, but that doesn't mean we have to play like this. It's inexcusable. The players we had on the pitch today are more than capable of putting this game to bed in that first half, but because of Maresca's tactics, it didn't happen. Brighton, just like United, just like Brentford, they didn't play well, our own mistakes which have been part of our game since the day Maresca took charge, means these teams will always have a chance. We could play the worst team in the league and they would still have a chance because Maresca's football cannot work in English football.
