We have some really great players. I mean we can all argue about which one's we prefer and which one's we don't like as much. But overall our players are all of a very high quality. But the way these players are used/played and the way this formation doesn't change and adapt and the way we keep playing this constipated Maresca football. It is really killing me.

Not sure i agree. Of the 16 players who festered today i would say Caciedo and James are the only top drawer players. Esteviao is still very young and you feel he will become quality, same with Acheampong.

The other 12? Largely mid table players with the occasional good game in their locker.

Fully deserved win for Sunderland. 90 minutes of tapping the ball around sh*te by Chelsea with the likes of Pedro and Enzo f**king diabolical. How on earth Enzo gets 90 minutes playing that poorly is flabbergasting.

The only silver lining for the bald fraud is that he now gets willo the wisp Gusto back after his ban.

Do we really have great players though? Palmer & Caicedo yea, then Colwill, you could maybe say Estevao but he’s way too raw atm.

No matter who comes in, the recruitment has been poor, and it will come all the way back to the sporting directors yet again.

Forgot James, but yea, ultimately this.

I'm still pissed we didn't go for Flick when he was available. He can be crazy but at least fun and excitement are guaranteed.

Even Reece James was strolling around today, there was nobody who wanted to up the tempo.

The fastest football of the day came from Sunderland whenever they broke on us.

What a clown this manger is - it was obvious Pedro and Pedro were both having a bad day - so what's Maresca do ?

Takes off our goalscorer Garnacho and then Guiu - who'd had practically zero service all game!

When is this idiot going to stop playing his favorites and start picking a winning line up ?

And Enzo... I dunno... first name on the team sheet - why - what is it he does ?

Another 3 points down the drain for me because of Maresca.

Credit to Sunderland - came with a game plan and executed it to perfection.

What did Chelsea do - put on a team that shouldn't have lost ffs...

I'd argue that despite our spending a lot of our best players are still from the academy - e.g. James, Colwill, Acheampong. Says it all about Clearlake really.

No we have good players. IF we had a proper experienced manager (with a vision and an ability to adapt tactically) that manager wouldn't be complaining about the quality of our youngsters. Our players are good. They are not being utilised properly. The shape of our team never changes and Maresca is out of ideas.

Like everyone, I’m addicted to supporting Chelsea and for most of my time it’s been a broadly happy addiction. But never have I felt this fed up and truly wished to God that I didn’t care and was into rugby or cricket instead.

It’s one thing not being very good. Been there and made the best of it. But this era is unbearable. It’s this constant taunting of we could be good, but we are not going to be.

But this is Chelsea now, a constant succession of next best teenagers, but never any players that are ready now or experienced. And that is why we will get the odd fluke like beating Liverpool or PSG, but the norm is draws and defeats to Fulham, Sunderland, Palace etc.

I don’t care what anyone says, we haven’t got a single good centre back out of the thrifty or so we have at the club.

f**king hell, Acheampong was having the time of his life and got replaced by Tosin who managed to make himself look like a clown for Sunderland's second. Chalobah also stood there looking like a lamp post. Guiu and Joao Pedro stayed way too long on the pitch.

Maresca with a stinker here. What a frustrating afternoon.

I disagree. We have players who have won world cups, players who start for Ancelotti's Brazil, etc. These are young players - not mid-table players. They don't have experience and so they look to the manager - but alas our manager has no experience either and our manager doesn't have that many ideas either.

Thing is our world cup winner is probably up there with Roque Junior and Kleberson as one of the worst players to ever win it.

I confess i actually like Enzo Fernandez as a player. He's not really suited to our formation and the way we currently play. But Little Enzo is a footballer. Good control and distribution imho.

Not in the Premier League. His control and distribution is often sh*t because he can't cope with the constant intensity of the league. In a hotter climate, he's fine, because teams can't play at this intensity for the whole game. I'm confident that Enzo will never be a top player in this league and will always have games like today where he can't contribute a single positive thing.

If Lavia had never had any injury issues, and if the club didn't have such a hard on for the Enzo, I am certain that Enzo would have been benched a long time ago.

Do we have 2 players called Enzo, because the one your talking about definitely isn't Enzo Fernandez.
