Chelsea vs Arsenal (PL) Sunday 30th November 16:30 GMT

That was a top performance considering the red card. Disappointing not to see what would have been.

Impressive that Cucu stayed on the pitch with his early yellow. Everyone was immense. The only negative is both Gusto and particularly James were top notch so the James midfield Gusto right back experiment will continue.

Showed grit and fight I didn’t think was there. All these results against the big guns look to be helping with confidence. I’m even starting to believe we can give a good title challenge.

Sanchez, James, and Fofana were outstanding.

I still fancied us to knick it late on but that was a great performance against the strongest side currently in the league. We matched them with 10 men and were the better team before the sending off.

A lot to like about the team we are becoming and Maresca got most things right again. He definitely believes that we can beat anyone.

Arsenal actually remind me of Chelsea when Jose first arrived. They have a very good squad but it will be our players who take most from that game.

Can’t help but feel frustrated. We were miles better than Arsenal and still couldn’t get 3 points, because of that stupid tackle by Caicedo.

The way we played today, if it wasn’t for that red card, I wouldn’t be surprised to see us put 3 past Arsenal.

We did well to get a point with 10 men, but man it’s so frustrating.

I said early in the first half that our aggression was perfect against Barcelona, but we had a bit too much of it today.

I agree. The thing is, that is how Caicedo tackles and bosses midfield. The problem is, that you only have to be fractionally late and it looks awful.

We should still take something from this performance even with ten. Of course it's meaningless if we now go and sh*t the bed against Leeds in the week.

Better result than expected! I’d anticipated disappointment on the magnitude of the wet game when they had their canoe. Now it needs to be backed up with a win against Leeds.

Fair play to Maresca didn’t bottle it with dodgy subs and had us going for the win all the way

I'd agree with that. But I do feel he should have brought Palmer on for Neto, with 10 or 15 mins to go. That would have lifted the crowd, the players, and also put the fear of God into the Arsenal back line.

It’s impossible to describe how pissed off I am. That’s another weekend ruined. We should have won that as we were so much better in so many respects, but we were indisciplined and toothless.

We are behind Arsenal in development, and I think we could be 10 times what they are now in 3 or 4 years, but today I am incandescent with rage at not winning that.

And Delap is absolutely NOT what we need up front. Nice lad, tries hard, but he has not got it no matter what way you look at it.

10 out of 10 for effort given that we were playing with a man less.

I can’t help feel frustrated that if we didn’t get the sending off we probably would have won this

Proud of the players and delighted to see the fans are well and truly behind the team. Definitely building something. We are in the best place we have been in for some time. I'm optimistic about the future.

It's interesting that Arsenal are the apotheosis of Mourinho's vision. The death of football.

Reece James won 6 out of 6 ground duels today and 5 out of his 6 aerial duels.

Clear MOTM for me, ahead of Sanchez who was also excellent.

James was amazing and is now officially playing at his old world class standard again. It's been there in moments, but he was brilliant today and against Barcelona.

Maybe he was happy with the way we were playing at that point and didn't want to risk him but if he's fit enough then surely he must play some part against Dirty Leeds

I would have bought Palmer on Joao Pedro. I'd have left Delap on the bench. I feel like even a lack of match practice Palmer would have offered more.

That was a soft as sh*t goal to give away. Delap cheaply giving it away and then half heartedly tracking back and Fofana wandering off and leaving Merino free to have a header.

Totally get what you mean. It’s certainly a missed opportunity, but , from where we have been, a draw is a solid result there. Red card aside (and it’s a big aside) the boys went toe to toe with what is considered to be the best team in the league right now. They’ll take confidence from that and we go on. A couple of years ago we would’ve lost that 3-0 after the red.

KTBFFH

It’s riling me that Arsenal will win the league whilst being totally unremarkable. They’re no better than Leicester were in their title winning season when every other team said “we can’t be arsed, you can have it if you want”.
