No we weren't, we lost, got outscored and lost a man to a red card. By any metric, we were not the better side today.

there are some low iq supporters we have for sure ...just ignore man... I am seriously worried the way our belived club is heading.I am afraid and worried. few of my fellow CFC friiends are drifting away. they are still fans but not watching games much as we used to.

Same. I'm done defending Palmer. The guy has clearly been holding out on surgery to save himself for England and it's helped sabotage our season. I'm sure people will say "how do you know it's his decision" and in all honesty, I can't even argue with them, because I can't prove it. It just seems obvious to me. I'm fully expecting him to get surgery the moment the world cup ends, but by that point, the damage would have already been done. Good for England, I guess.

As for Caicedo, all he has shown himself to be of late is a hot head. Can't control himself on the pitch unless things are going well. Losses his head too much and it started to happen when we were 1-0 down. His discipline is as bad as anybody's.

Palmer need to understand that if he doesn't perform here he won't get picked up and Tuchel is too good to understand that..as fasr as Causedo is concern I think its down to coaching and what are expectations from manager. If he is asked toi much then cant blame him honestly.

I am comparing their squad with our squad, stop being so touchy.

They have a team full of physicality all over the pitch and they look like men and we look like boys. We used to have that across the pitch and we don't anymore.

I’m not being touchy, I’m talking facts.

You are comparing the team that can only score on corners to one of the greatest sides in the league, ever.

Get a grip. They have absolutely nothing on the Terry Lampard Drogba team. Nothing.

Well, they wanted a young team, they've got it. Young, silly, petulant, mentally fragile. No character, no leadership, no maturity, breaks down at the first sight of trouble. Same thing, match after match, rince and repeat.

No words to express how much I hate this ownership/management c**ts. Destroyed a once respectable club.

I suspect we will cash in on him this summer. Probably Man United.

That was a very unremarkable afternoon for me. I struggled to watch our continued demise under Blueco. The highlight (and there must always be a highlight) was going to the fridge at the end of the game and eating the best part of half of a fresh pineapple. Most enjoyable.

Thats 3-0 to the Arse since Rosenior arrived despite before the game him saying he hadn't had a lot of time with the team before the cup games, certainly didn't see any improvement in this one.

There are players in this team that one at a time moved into other teams would soon be good players, they are not improving here because they are surrounded by other immature young players that need coaching by an experienced quality coach something our owners don't seem to feel necessary.

I hate we are playing games with no left winger to squeeze another midfielder next ho Caicedo but still keep Enzo in the team.

I detest the compulsory addition of Tosin late on for no real reason.

The set piece defending is based on panic and does anyone watch opposing teams and set up in training with a view to defending against their likely strategies and finding their weaknesses to attack?

Europe next season is slipping away and we can't seem to challenge for anything barring most red cards.

Gutted, that Arsenal team don't look like a title winning team and were there for the taking.

Talking facts in your own head.

Listen to me, they are the type of team we used to build. A big imposing team of players coming into or are in their prime and a team looking to win, I couldn't give two sh*ts how they win.

I did not compare them to Terry, Lampard and Drogba.

I never understood what some think it means to be a "true fan". We should stick by our club through thick and thin......I agree with that, but what if I don't recognise it as my club anymore? I see the club badge, stadium and fans that look fed up, but I don't Chelsea Football Club anymore. I see BlueCo's Chelsea LDN. I don't see how me backing this unconditionally, clapping like a seal and shouting "go on lads" somehow makes me a true fan. It would make me a simple minded fool that is easily led, but not a true fan. I've felt closer to this club through periods where I was worried if there was even going to be a club anymore, but I have felt growing disdain for the club since the BlueCo era began.

We lost due to yet another Sanchez clanger and then Neto being stupid, reducing us to 10 men.

For large parts of the game, we looked comfortable and we should have got a draw and on another day might have nicked all 3 points.

Really hope Arsenal don't win the PL, but if they do, it will be comforting to know that they will be the worst PL winners in a long time. Very little flair and totally reliant on set-pieces.

Yeah what ever this is, it isn’t Chelsea. Even in the 90’s we showed more bo**ocks and talent than this current overpaid bunch of w**kers.

On another day it would have been Chalobah making the mistake, or Tosin, or Fofana, or Badiashile, or Hato, or Gusto, or Garnacho, or Caicedo, or Enzo, or Delap, or even Palmer these days. It's always somebody in every game. We almost never play 90's minutes of football that doesn't have the most ridiculous errors. We'll see it again at Villa. They can be in the sh*ttiest of form, but we'll still find a way to match that level, we always do.

There is no "should". We lost. Our record against them in 11 games is 3 draws 8 losses.

Our last win against them is in 2021.

When we lost the CL final in 2008 I was heartbroken but above all I felt terrible for JT. I kept thinking how gutted he must be after missing the penalty. You could see that the players cared and that is all you can ask for as a fan.

I'm sure Reece, Trev and Josh will be hurting tonight. They understand what this means to the fans. Not sure I feel the same about the others.

Making the same mistakes over and over again week in week out shows that they don't care.

It’s funny, but I could have said that when Abramovich bought the club. I didn’t recognise Chelsea FC anymore. We were a yo-yo club that always had a mixture of young potential talent and older journeymen players that cost little and usually came from lower league sides or Scotland or the odd has been.

Then the struggling club with a loyal and decent but not huge following were buying all the best players and had a better 2nd eleven than the next best team. Then supporters started popping up all over the place. Where were they all when I was amongst 8000 watching us draw at home to Rotherham United in Division 2 in April 1983?

My dad witnessed the promise and excitement of Dave Sexton’s team fall apart. He went from seeing Osgood and Cooke in cup finals to seeing the mess of the late seventies. That collapse saw the club in a far bigger mess than we’re in now.

Just thought I’d try and throw some context into all the whining, wailing and entitlement going on.

It’s been a few hours since full time and I’m still absolutely fuming. This game was our biggest chance to beat Arsenal for a long time and to be honest, there really isn’t a better time to beat them.

Usually I’m calm and rational, try to see the positives but I can’t see any now. I’m so so sick of this squad messing up in every big game. Sick of it.

Given that you've been posting about your penis a lot recently, would you like me to bring it up?

Excellent, thank you.

Apologies, you were my first choice but I didn't want to bother you during Lent. I figured @Valerie was likely the sort of Calvinist who leaned towards 'predestination renders choice moot so I can be as decadent as I want'.

Anyway, Arsenal beat us on dead balls this evening, however after seeing the goth oddities at the pub (who I assume were assembling before some sort of white makeup and shouting concert), I think I can assemble an XI to beat them.

But nothing really changed with Abramovich, we were still the same Chelsea, the only difference was that we won more games and had more money. Almost everything else about the club remained untouched. It's got less to do with being good or bad on the pitch and more to do with stripping our identity away and moulding it into something unrecognisable.

The argument is really childish in a way, we climbed out of poverty, fought to stand on the same heights as elites, afraid to go back to poverty days then we get told, we used to be worse why are we so entitled.

We want to maintain the standards and build upon the hard work of the old fans, players, management that came before. When you were there watching us drawing Rotherham, didn't you want to see the club to one day be mentioned among the likes of great clubs? Now that we're finally there, why do we want to give it up so quickly?

On the face of it, it was a good performance. We wasn’t far from nicking a draw and you could argue we deserved a draw.

But in reality and deep down, we all knew that Arsenal would win by a soft goal. We’re just not good enough in both boxes.

I'm one of them. Just a fan. Didn't bother watching today's game as I've lost all my passion for this club. Seeing that we got another red card and Sanchez bozo moment proves why.

The big problem is we've gone back to poverty after wasting billions. It's not like the new owners have come into this club and not invested in the squad. That's why we will get no sympathy and deservedly so.

I don't think it was a bad performance; this team played as well as it possibly can and there lies the problem.
