The biggest problem with a certain type of "fan" is they read social media and see some ITK linking us with a young shiny twitter favourite from Spain and set their hearts on him because he looked good on a 3 minute youtube highlights video. Then when we sign someone else suddenly our club are useless and a disgrace, even though in all reality we were never ever even considering signing that player. I stay well away from Twitter and the utter mentalists on there as its an absolute cesspit of retarded comments and opinions.

This is spot on. Its all a lot of hot air at the moment. Sky have had us close to signing Havertz for about 4 weeks now. Maybe they meant 48 days and not 48 hours.

Yeah and since we are a money club agents make up links to us to get their players better contracts so suddenly we are linked to every play and forever getting gazumped by other clubs at the last minute because we take too long etc etc 

It's tiresome.

Will never happen

For me Messi has been the greatest individual talent I have ever seen. Still be a great coup whoever signs him (a little bit when we signed Gullit) and if he was 29/30 I'd be beside myself if we were in the frame, but at 33 really not that fussed and personally think PL week in week out would be hard for him and he'd spend more time in the treatment room.

I just can’t see him leaving Barcelona. I think it’s a power play because Koeman is being firm with the dressing room. 

Apparently Messi has informed Barca that he wants to leave, and the club has replied that according to his contract he would have had to inform them by the 10 of June. Now, he has to pay 700 million € if he wants to leave. All this in the Spanish papers. 

Koeman has told Suarez that he doesn't want him in the team next season. Suarez and Messi are best friends, so I believe that Messi would want out.

No, I said I hope he stays away as he can still destroy teams at 33. Messi has been carrying an aging Barca in recent years. If a Messi was on a team like city I could see him putting teams (inclung Chelsea) to the sword.
