Could the man be more inept than he was today...two sitters missed and hardly broke into a sweat. Offered nothing up front and we have to put up with 3 more years of this crap...ffs.

Anyone criticising Torres for tonights performance didn't watch the match. He was good on the ball,a lot go nice touches , held it up well and gave Moses and Hazard time to break, he should have scored once but was agonisingly close when he hit the bar. If i had to rate him tonight 7.5

I'm just at a loss to describe how both Torres and Hazard (and Oscar for that chance at the end) didn't get at least a goal each.

Another Malouda / Bogarde situation developing here ... Torres is wanting to sit out his remaining Contract years with Chelsea due to money reasons only ... this is worst case scenerio for the Club ... but not unexpected, at all ... I suspect the detrimental impact Torres has on the Team will be allowed to continue ...

I'd be interested to know how many shirts Torres has shifted in the past year. I remember reading that he outsold the whole Chelsea squad combined in his first year at the club, but I suspect his abysmal form has hit shirt sales pretty drastically.

I can't tell if you are serious or not. His first touch is unforgivable, you shouldn't be allowed on a football pitch with a touch as heavy as Torres.

................ didn't have to wait long. Coz there it is yet again. Someone being happy with very little.

A fair reflection of his performance = 2% good. 98 % usual garbage.

Unlucky with the shot that hit the post but hey ho. Not totally unexpected.

Had the first touch of a rapist for most of the game, sorry if that offends anyone, but I can't think of a more apt analogy. I swear his feet are shapped like 50p coins. Early in the second half Hazard makes a mazy run to the edge of the box, instead of moving laterally into free space Torres runs right towards him and draws another defender onto Eden who is then crowded off the ball.

Oh, and the worst attempt at a bicycle kick in the history of the bicycle.

Yeah he was good!

whats the 7.5 out of 100? Not sure he's rated a 7.5/10 since he came here, he just floats between average and atrocious

I thought he was decent tonight. Don't like seeing this much hate toward a player tbh but I guess it's all personal opinions at the end of the Day

Most of it isn't hate, it's just people pointing out that he is a poor player.

Seems some have a personal vendetta against him, I really thought he did okay tonight. Not good, not bad, but okay. I'll support him as long as he's a Chelsea player, i can see why some won't but that's just me.

Okay aint good enough for million.

so he should ask for a wage drop? Not his fault the club was stupid enough to pay 50 million and extortionate wages, blame Roman for that.

It really isn't hatred , its acceptance that he consistently plays poorly. We used to have a striker that teams throughout Europe feared ,we put our faith in Torres to replace him and consequently we are now dining along with the second string instead of at the top table. Good strikers win you games and trophies , we at present don't possess one.

i still think that's an issue for those at the upper echelon of the club. If he's the only option we've got in the ropey league then what else is there to do? I don't think he's been as bad as some people make out, as long as he's at Chelsea i'll be One of the few to support him! Haha

any time Torres plays well my fellow shed-enders use the same argument 'by his standards it was an ok performance but his standards are so low'

he was good tonight, should have scored and was unlucky not to have scored. if it was Demba up front with the same touches/passes/shots we would be saying he played well

What about our last game against Liverpool? He wasn't our only choice then yet he was still picked over a player who recently scored two stunners against the top two sides in England. I have no hate towards Torres himself but I just can't continue to keep quiet seeing an atrocious striker play week in week out for us and nothing being done about it. How anyone can continue to defend him and act like it's not a big deal is beyond me. He has been dreadful for us since his debut but continues to be first choice.
