Whether he's first choice or not, he will probably be here at least another season.

Highly doubt that not in a World Cup year, well depends on his ambitions.

I cant see him taking a paycut and I cant see anyone being dumb enough to pay him what he makes here. I think he stays just because there are no other options for him. I personally wouldnt mind throwing the dice on Lukaku with Ba/Torres as the backup, but after this season I can see why the club would be hesitant to do so..

Yep Sky news said this morning Torres is for sale ....22 goals .....(but) we need a better package up front.....If its true i wish him well and thank him for important goals he has scored for us....

We cant cut his wages mid contract. .. but we can try to sell him. Lets face it he is rubbish. Hasnt scored a goal in the league since before Christmas and played most games. <br /><br />Scoring goals against weak european talent. He needs to go back to Spain. Ideally we sell him to athletico and take falcao.<br /><br />

However if we'd manage to offload him we'd open up space for Lukaku. Ba, Lukaku and Cavani(or similar) +Schurrle for backup.

Offloading Torres would get that huge monkey off our teams back. With him as being Roman's boy there is always that feeling managers are forced to play him. Actually his salary pretty much demands his contribution...

Anyway I don't see it happening.

8 league starts this year, so no.

 

Van Persie went 10 United games without a goal a couple of months back but was barely a mention of it anywhere, Nando was scoring regularly during this period but the stat gets thrown around constantly, and no wonder because people just swallow it like you have.

 

He's not good enough for us but most aren't and it certainly doesn't make him "rubbish".

nah i disagree with that, he just has had a barren run in the prem since 2013 and hasn't started enough games in comparison to Ba.

 

Ba's only scored 2 in the prem for us overall! its fair to say Juan, Eden, Frank have scored the majority of goals in that competition.

He is rubbish.

That's why I think it would be best for Torres to go back to Spain or even Italy cause I think he'd find his boots again in either if those leagues.

Looks like we are going to have a problem with Fernando Torres in the summer. He sounds adamant that he wants to stay and see out his contract.

I don't understand why he's going on about the contract he's under with us- he still had three years on his contract at Liverpool and f***ed that off easily enough, why is he suddenly banging on about contractural obligations?

Don't get me wrong, i'd like him to stay, but for goodness sake, he needs to stop acting honourable.
