Im sorry but you Torres supporters can sod off. 7 goals in the league is absolutely rubbish ,he would be called championship quality if he was playing for a worse club.

I must say i think Torres has been more useful than Ba has in the last month. This doesnt make up for the last two years of being sh*t but Ba hasnt been that great recently either.

I think Hazard will be a big miss tonight.

I agree with you about ba. If torres put in some of ba's performances in the past month torres would get a shed load of abuse. I suppose the difference is ba cost 7 million and torres cost 50. Torres to score tonight.

Can't argue with his performances in the ropey league. I'm a Torres fan so I recognise i'm biased but I don't think we'd be in the final without him. Credit where credit is due.

If Ba put on the performances Torres did during his first 6 months at the club - he would be sold in the summer and not a single person on this forum would complain about it

Considering the calibre of opposition, I have no doubt that the majority of EPL strikers could have done as good a job in the Europa League this year, let alone 50m pound strikers.

Spot on, as mentioned earlier players like Maccarone ended up top scorers for the clubs in the Europa League when Boro reached the final. It's a matter of how he performs in the final itself - which will reflect on whether he was truly successful in winning us a trophy, if he plays the way he did in the CWC all the good work he has done in the Europa League so far would be chalked off.  No offense to Rubin; Prague and Basel but the real test is tonight for Floppes and the rest of the squad - after all Moses has one less goal in the competition and we all know he hasn't exactly set the league on fire.

I didn't say anything about other EPL strikers or the Europa opposition.  Just the fact he has done well in the competition and he helped us get to the final with a decent amount of goals.

I think tonight is Fernando's last chance to shine. If he flops this game (which is what I'm expecting) then I'd like him gone before the start of next season.

Yeah Torres supporters should all sod off, how dare they support a player that plays for their team and not call him names.

and if he has a blinder?

I don't know about a blinder, but he had as much left in the tank today as any of our attacking players - which admittedly boils down to producing a couple of good moments. Congratulations, Nando, you've now reached the stage of looking better in a Chelsea shirt than Mateja Kezman or Claudio Pizarro, and I'll always be grateful for this goal and for a certain corner in Munich.

Now let's take this chance to end it on a high.
