It was obvious that this was what it was about, he still hasn't forgiven Benitez and West Ham for their role in Sheffield United going down in 2007. Ofcourse the fact they lost a game at home to Wigan they only needed to draw had to part in it.

With everything going on around the club and Christensen's departure I think keeping such a big personality could only be to our benefit. When played at rb or Rob he still looks top quality and only at rwb does he seem like he's he's downgrade to other options. If he wants a 2 year contract I say give it to him. I'd hate for Barca to steal away two of our top defenders on a free especially now when there is such uncertainty around the club.

Supposedly started comming down with symptoms similar to Pulisic's during the match and that is why he was subbed off.

Hopefully they all recover quickly and in form.

Read that it was automatic based on hitting an appearance quota. News came out of Spain so possibly through Barca trying to negotiate with him but being told no.

I read about it some weeks ago but only one source it seems however it was triggered before the sanctions

Several different sources say Dave's clause for a contract extension was triggered based on appearances before we were sanctioned. 

However it has not been announced as Dave has yet to decide if he wants to stay or go to Barca. We will apparently let him leave for free if he decide he wants out.

Hopefully he actually stays and this isn't just happening so we can get a fee out of him. 

Azpilicueta contract extended at Chelsea

Tuchel confirmed it in the press conference, but it is odd that there is no official news from Chelsea. It speaks to me that it's nothing to celebrate as he probably is still leaving.

Eventually players are going to stop joining Barca on a free. They are a basket club with no money relying on their brand to pick up out of contract players.

Games like Brentford are when I feel sorry for Dave and Silva. Top professions, very very rarely do they have an average game never a bad one, and then they have 7 lemons alongside the embarrassing Werner and Alonso pull those stunts and they probably want to Will Smith the lot of them.
