He’s such a down to earth person. No social media sh*t, no complain when he’s sitting on the bench, nor when he’s been played all over the defence, no fuss about his contract renewal or not, he always gives his all and I think he genuinely cares for this Club and the fans.

He's what they used to be, tucked in shirt and gentleman.

Neil Warnock trying to claim he isn’t a good defender is absolute madness, I have no idea why he’s so underrated by people outside of Chelsea. Is it because he isn’t someone who shouts all the time? Is it his size?

I think fullback is the absolute least glamourous role in football, the ones who get celebrated are the ones who attack well. When people think the best fullbacks of this generation they think Dani Alves, Marcelo, bloody Trent who can't defend, that guy is basically a winger/wide midfielder who tracks back.

But when a great one on one defender gets celebrated it's like a Zabaleta from a few years back, when Ivanovic and Azpi were just as good if not better.

Great piece of captaincy/leadership for the penalty. Don’t understand Warnocks comments. Makes him look like he doesn’t know the game he’s been involved with for all these years.

Nobody understands Warnocks comments. 35 years in the game as a manager and he doesn't have a single success story in a top league to his name. No wonder Laura Woods struggled to contain a laugh when he made that comment.

Neil Warnock is probably in a minority of one with that opinion.

Azpi has been consistently reliable throughout his time at Chelsea. That he's played as a right back, left back, wing back, right side of a back three and on rare occassions as a midfielder and always been an integral part of the team regardless of where he's played is testiment to just how good he is.

Manager's of much better pedigree than Warnock have continuously picked Dave and long may it continue.

He’s never going to be up there with Terry in terms of leadership but I definitely think he’s earned the right to be mentioned in same breath alongside the greats such as Terry, Frank, Drogba etc.

He’s bloody won it all. A Chelsea great.

I disagree - I think he deserves a statue.
