Exactly. Terry knows the deal at this club, he gets it, he will sign a new deal at the end of the season i am sure of it.

Cahill is surely a genuine contender for Chelsea's Player of the Year. An absolute rock this season.

Agreed just.  Hazard surely the front runner just now and the flair players do tend to get the nod however Cahill has been nothing short of magnificent. 

Since his partnership with terry settled he has been outstanding. They compliment each other very well.

To think somebody on here recently  posted he doesn't do well against the big teams.Quality tonight £8M was a bargain for him.

We'd be foolish to disrupt the quality we have in defence now. Terry, Cahill and Luiz would get into any team in the league in my opinion, maybe bar Arsenal due to the great partnership Koscielny and Mertesacker have.

 

All they needed was a world class manager to steady the ship and instruct them properly! Very excited about the addition of Zouma too, four top centre halves with a good mixture of experience and youth.

Cahill has really grown under Mourinho. Was immense today imo, his best performance in a Chelsea shirt for me

People were saying they don't compliment each other well but great defenders find a way to make it work. Brilliant partnership with JT. Watch and weep England.

I've been one if his bigger critics but he's been superb this season, a settled partnership makes such a huge difference.

This lad is f**king immense!! Going to be a big part of any success we have in the future.

It's no surprise that JT has had many fantastic partnerships in his career. World class defender who breathes confidence and trust in those he plays with and their game improves.

Well said Goose. I think JT is benefitting Cahill the way Desailly benefitted him. If you can't learn from the best you are never gonna learn at all.

Mods can we change the title of this thread please? It's kind of depressing to keep logging in and seeing "Gary Cahill - Must improve" especially after he has been playing this season!

IMHO GC has improved ever since his first put on the Blue. Remember he was the Captain when he was at Bolton. He wanted to play at a higher level & so far he has done just that. What hasn't he won w/ CFC so far? The League. I am sure that is his goal at the moment. Again, I have a Man Crush on Gary. I would have his babies if I could. The guy is always there for us, but in his interviews he seems soo down to earth. Just remember him after the manure match, he didn't slag off that lil' punk for the double foot lunge. Nope, he just acted like it didn't happen & he would move on. IMHO CFC & England are lucky to have a player of his qualities.

Actually, in that photo, John Terry is advising him to stay well away from England.

He hasnt stopped improving.Best center back partnership in the Prem bar none.Same attitude as JT,would throw himself in front of a bus.Glad your a Blue Gary. 

and to think he was fighting relegation battles a few years ago.

 

Wins the Champions League and FA Cup within 6 months of joining and is now pretty much an automatic starter for our new Era.

 

If JT does leave, I reckon either Ivan or Cahill will take the armband.
