December 26, 201510 yr There were way too many excuses, World Cup, pre season, then there was some sh*t about his sister. What's with his sister?
December 26, 201510 yr Get rid...can't blame Mourinho now You a very vocal on that and I do not disagree with you. But get used to seeing him in guus team. He is his selected pen taker. He confirmed as much here: http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2015/12/26/10667304/hiddink-manager-reaction-chelsea-2-2-watford
December 26, 201510 yr What's with his sister? I don't remember exactly but there was some drama with his sister that supposedly affected his form. To me it was just a weak excuse. There were too many of them. We need tough players with killer instinct not mama's boys, I think hazard is also one of them too.
December 26, 201510 yr When people kept pointing out he'd played in worlds cups etc, it was not like he was the only player to ever play for their country and then have a league season...it was bollox, just like the majority of his performances for over three years
December 26, 201510 yr I'd say he was good and the team in general were good. I think the negativity towards him and them is coloured by the fact we didn't win and the desire to somehow validate Jose by proxy.
December 26, 201510 yr Way more lively than usual.. even if not much 'came off'.First time he's done a one-two in just about forever.. he looks much better when he pulls his finger out.
December 26, 201510 yr Was good today. Missed a penalty though so yeah. Pile in Goes to show how we view the game differently, I thought he was rubbish. Kept losing the ball in bad positions, flopped all over the pitch and created very little. Hoped the penalty was going to give him some confidence but alas. Edited December 26, 201510 yr by Xfaxtor
December 26, 201510 yr I thought Oscar was good as well. He lost the ball often cause he was being very direct, didn't quite work as well today but he still managed to get himself into dangerous positions and create problems. Pedro, imo, was far worse. Starting to get worried that we've signed yet another dud winger. Edited December 26, 201510 yr by Remodez
December 26, 201510 yr I would take literally every PL team number 10 over Oscar. From Stokes Bojan to West Ham Payet to Coutinho to Barkley and the list goes on.
December 26, 201510 yr Was good today. Missed a penalty though so yeah. Pile in I'm sorry, did you just watch a repeat of last week's game? You surely can't be talking about today's. He was woeful even before the penalty miss.
December 26, 201510 yr Look I'm sure this all reads as very reactionary. He was good last week, but sadly that penalty miss rather than his brilliant goals at Juventus say sums up his Chelsea career. I remain convinced that the single biggest mistake of Jose's Chelsea career was marginalising Mata to make Oscar the centre of his team. Edited December 26, 201510 yr by Spiller86
December 27, 201510 yr As someone who also was not impressed with Oscar's performance today, I feel like the ones who are slating him today are not doing it just because he missed the penalty but because he was subpar today. The biggest problem with Oscar seems to be the lack of consistency! HE is brilliant one match and very average the next, It is very hard to judge his production based on such varied performance and it is frustrating because we are expecting the good Oscar that we saw last game but land up getting a dud. This lack of dependability is frustrating. Oscar has been here for a while and we still do not know if he is Mr Dependable. We dont know his ceiling and we dont know his floor.
December 27, 201510 yr No, I watched today's game. What was it particularly that you thought was good? I watched the whole game and on a overall he was anonymous barring a few of his twatty trademark flicks that end up with him losing the ball 9/10 times.

December 27, 201510 yr Oscar has been here for a while and we still do not know if he is Mr Dependable. We dont know his ceiling and we dont know his floor. We still don't know if he's Mr Depandae? I think it's quite clear he's not depandable. How many more season he needs to play at Chelsea for us to realize he's not the player we were expecting him to be. I can't believe Jose sold Mata in order to keep Oscar. I'm sure after a while Jose was very disappointed with Oscar.

December 27, 201510 yr If only he wasnt so burdened with defensive duties, hed be a superstar then He has to be when we have incompetent CMs behind him. Recently Mikel is the only one who looks like he both knows what he doing and capable of doing it
December 27, 201510 yr It wasnt a great game from Oscar but he wasnt that bad either. Edited December 27, 201510 yr by chef
December 27, 201510 yr I would take literally every PL team number 10 over Oscar. From Stokes Bojan to West Ham Payet to Coutinho to Barkley and the list goes on. I think Coutinho is actually very similar to Oscar. He has a few good games, and then goes missing for a bunch of games. I think Coutinho is quite overrated.
December 27, 201510 yr Oscar was okay but he slipped and missed a penalty. Has happened to other players. Onwards and upwards. Edited December 27, 201510 yr by evissy
December 27, 201510 yr Oscar has regrettably joined a long list of frustrating Chelsea players who can never be classed as great as they lack that consistency of truly world-class players. He goes from looking like the brilliant Brazilian we all hoped he would be to Mr Average. And that penalty yesterday goes down as one of the worst I have ever seen - up there with Wee Pat's against Man City all those seasons ago. All very well saying he was unlucky to slip but it does annoy me when players try to be clever with the little stop / start run up. Great when it comes off but you look a complete mug when it goes like yesterday and end up costing your team valuable points.
