I suspect we won't see Hazard signing a new contract in the short-term though.  He's going to see how things go with Sarriball.  On the plus side if Sarri succeeds then Hazard will love the freedom he has to play.

Maybe not over the last few months, but overall, Messi is in a league of his own. He's already up and running in La Liga with 2 goals today. Hazard will never be as good as Messi, but that is fine, he doesn't have to be and I never expected him to be because Messi is one of the greatest of all time. I just enjoy Hazard for the player he is.

Yeah it sounded like to me that he would have been happy to leave but real did not come up with the needed money. Now he happy to stay as he likes it here with us. One year rolls on then he knows the price drops and either real offer what we find acceptable and he goes or sees out his last year. I don't think we will see the desperation tibo displayed but I dont think he signs a new deal.

A shame if it ends up so. Then we have to decide if we can let him leave for free or not 

He wanst titles.......he wanst CL. If by NeXT summer we aint in the CL and he can see we are not buying quality, he'll go. I would too. Make no mistake, we could have just as easily lost him this summer.

I'd be more than happy if we can get two more years of Hazard then he leaves to where he wants and CHO takes over.

If he develops at his current rate CHO will be much better than spending big to replace Hazard.
