November 22, 201411 yr Hope he signs that five-year deal already! I know I don't know why he didn't sign till now?? I'm getting nervous already
November 27, 201411 yr Just wanted to say that I'm seeing big improvements from this guy. Without the ball he is making more dangerous runs than he ever has before. It's no coincidence that he's missed a slew of good chances recently (at least one a game), whereas before he wouldn't be in those positions to be able to miss. I think he'll 'click' fairly soon and start scoring for fun.
November 28, 201411 yr Its a bit concerning that he still hasn't signed a new deal that has been rumbling on since last summer, when so many of the other guys have committed.
November 28, 201411 yr Its a bit concerning that he still hasn't signed a new deal that has been rumbling on since last summer, when so many of the other guys have committed. It's happened plenty of times in the past with us though, a lot of our players take time to sign contracts. I'm sure he will sign a new deal in time.
November 28, 201411 yr Its a bit concerning that he still hasn't signed a new deal that has been rumbling on since last summer, when so many of the other guys have committed. Not at all.
November 29, 201411 yr I don't know whether it's tactical (i.e. in order to keep possession) or a lack of belief in himself or something else but Hazard really needs to start running at defenders and get himself and the ball into areas he can either shoot or square to players for shots. We all know how good he is and this isn't a post to attack him or call him crap and its not a kneejerk from just the sunderland game, I rate him as our best player as he is already. It's just so frustrating knowing how good this guy is yet he just doesn't seem to show it anywhere near enough for him to be considered top class (witch I fully believe he would be if he stepped up more often) When he first arrived he always seemed to look to commit defenders and take them on. Now too often it seems he looks for the sideways pass without actually troubling then defenders. I'm sure he will get out of this mini slump he's in (if you can even call it that) but to be touted as one of the best attackers around he really does need to be more productive
November 29, 201411 yr He has no character. He is not a winner. He is just one very, very good and talented boy but he won't be a legend because the lack of charisma, mentality and character.
November 29, 201411 yr I think Hazard could learn alot from a player like Reus and his movement off the ball. I find Hazard alot of the time to static, he does however have an insane burst of pace to make up for it when he uses it. Edited November 29, 201411 yr by comtrend
November 29, 201411 yr You can't deny how talented he is you just can't. Any person who watches him any game know that he can be considered among the best players in the world. But I can't disagree with a tiny part of what Pendergast is saying, there is a real lack of character about him sometimes. Doesn't seem to have that urge in him to go on and get goals and win games, he seems to be just a fancy pants a lot of the time. Worst game I've seen from him I will say that but that also shows how good he is because I've rarely seen him have bad games and it's not like he was the only one. But god we are going to need him next week to pull something out of the bag, we can't have him invisible like was today.
November 29, 201411 yr Very frustrating to see when he plays like that, but just gotta have faith he'll get better. I am more impressed with willian at the moment. He would be better to stick on the right instead of hazard, as he seems to be the one doing more offensive qork.

You got that from one game? Game vs QPR? Game vs Swansea? Vs Maribor? Vs City? Pool last year? +others. f**k outta here with that, man.
November 29, 201411 yr Whoa. You got that from one game? Game vs QPR? Game vs Swansea? Vs Maribor? Vs City? Pool last year? +others. f**k outta here with that, man. I didn't mean only from this one. He is here since 2012. For these 3 years he has scored and saved us about 5-6 times. Max. He is not option when we suffer. Hazard plays when the others play. He can't beat anyone alone. Tell me one game, that the whole team played bad and Hazard saved us? This kind of players are not legends and the best in the world. I don't say he is not a good play, he is, but he will not be a great player. It's simple. Edited November 29, 201411 yr by Pendergast
November 29, 201411 yr Today was without doubt (well from memory) his worst performance in a Chelsea shirt. I really don't understand what was with him today but saying that all the players wern't up to it. Maybe just something in the water.

It was November, she decided to poison the players just before leaving for another year
November 30, 201411 yr Whoa. You got that from one game? Game vs QPR? Game vs Swansea? Vs Maribor? Vs City? Pool last year? +others. f**k outta here with that, man. He has a point. When the going gets tough, more often then not Hazard seems to go missing.
November 30, 201411 yr He looked fatigued, worn out. Needs rest. Should've started Schürlle ahead of him, I felt. Atleast after the end of the first half. Oh well.
November 30, 201411 yr This guy is tired, why José didn't give him some rest after the 0-5 trashing vs Shalke ?
November 30, 201411 yr I`m guessing most of the players really wont have wanted resting after the last couple of displays, they would love to keep it going and sometimes its better not to change a winning team. hindsights a wonderful thing at times.
November 30, 201411 yr One below average game (he wasn't the only one) and suddenly he's a over hyped characterless show off...Some on here need to get a grip on the reality of the EPL, it's not walkovers every week like Messi & CR have the pleasure of most weeks. I use them two as examples as they are who Hazard is so often, and unfairly in my opinion compared to. He's been amazing this season for us.. so stop being such knee jerk, whiney c**ts and give the fella a break FFS.
December 1, 201411 yr This guy is tired, why José didn't give him some rest after the 0-5 trashing vs Shalke ? And if Hazard/Oscar/Costa had all been rested after the 5-0 and we'd dropped points people would be complaining about that too, given how poor Schurrle and Salah have been so far it wouldn't have been logical to drop him.

I don't mean to sound harsh but you're about 12/18 months late with these comments. It was a bigger issue just after he arrived. There is clear progression in his game so I have no idea how people can be critical of him now and not earlier. If he put away every easy chance he's had (due to great movement) in the last 8 games he'd have about 8/9 goals.

I really don't understand what was with him today but saying that all the players wern't up to it. Maybe just something in the water. He was very average on Saturday. When he is on song and can produce a bit of magic, that can be the difference between 1 point and 3. Jose obviously recognises that fact as despite how poor he was, he remained on the pitch when both Oscar And Willian were subbed and although neither were great, I felt they both had better games than Hazard. Be Interesting to see what changes (if any) Mourinho makes for the Spu*s match, other than the obvious forced one with Costa.

If he put away every easy chance he's had (due to great movement) in the last 8 games he'd have about 8/9 goals. As I said in my last post I think he took players on far more when he first arrived than now and looked far more confident doing so. I don't remember him stuttering in front of the opposition then passing sideways as often as he does now. There may have been some progression in his game since joining but he definitely isn't living up to his obvious potential and isn't making the impact on games he's capable of. Part of that may be a lack of confidence (I don't know why he'd be lacking in confidence right now) which would probably explain some of the poor finishing recently.
