Cesc Fabregas

Drogba was 10 times worse for it than Cesc, did he damage the image of the club?

It's because it is Cesc really isn't it?

Not at all, i haven't a hatred for Cesc if that's what your suggesting. Quite the opposite really.

He and other senior players are the biggest culprits, but it's been on my mind this week because of the Monday night game.

In answer to your question, i do think Drogba damaged the image of the club and him personally with non Chelsea fans with the way he carried on a little.

Fair enough.

I’ve personally never noticed it with Cesc on a recurring basis. Monday night he was well within his rights IMO, you simply can’t stamp on someone who is on the ground. I don’t think it was accidental especially the way Spurs players were trying to break our players legs at the end. He probably wanted action to be taken as he and his teammates were getting assaulted while the ref did nothing.

Put it this way, we are not even close to being what the Spanish sides are in this regard.

I'm not suggesting it was an accident chelsbear.. I'm saying it's not his job to tell Mark whether it was intentional or not.

Players are there to play football.

I'm also not interested in comparing how we look compared to the Spanish sides, I'm interested in how we look to me while I'm watching with my friends and family.    I hate the act of trying to get a player booked or sent off and I've noticed Cesc do it a couple of times now.

If someone trod on my hand, I'd want the useless linesman to do something about it, instead of standing their like the useless lumps that they are most of the time, the officiating in this league is an embarrassment. Having said that, can't imagine players doing that back in the day, they most likely would of got their own back on the player instead.

Well personally I'd get on with the game and not worry about what the referee is doing.. that is the least of your priorities as a player and it infuriates me in general how much interaction they have with him in general, but more so what seems like referee influencing from our boys.

It's highly possible that your hand gets stepped on accidentally so showing him the stud marks isn't going to help, but it shouldn't be up to the player to help anyway.

I'm criticising Cesc because he does it a lot and it affects the image of the club, I sat there watching him carry on Monday night and hated every second of it.

Fabregas probably reacted like that because he was so angry at Lamela and wanted to smack him in the head. He knew he couldn't do that though so he was going from the linesman to ref to try and get the point across. He may have looked ridiculous when doing it but when someone is really pissed at something they tend to react in ways they wouldn't normally react.

if Lamela really stepped on his hand, why shouldn't he tell it to the ref? he had every right to, it's clearly illegal to intentionally hurt other player
he wasn't not influencing the referee, he was demanding for justice

I'm impressed he didn't punch Lamela in the head. Certainly can't get upset that it pissed him off and he wanted the official to ugh you know, do their job.

he wanted what? what a disgrace. sell immediately

Do their job? Hes been in the prem long enough to know they do offsides, that's it.

Really? He said that, it looked like he was winding him up.

That's what the Spuds think, I thought he was just saying you did well.

Kane was the only outifield player who kept a cool head throughout the match, he helped break up fights and concentrated on his job as a striker, although he did put in one bad tackle in injury time, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't trying to hurt Willian.

Also he was the one Spurs player who gave a damn when Azpi split his head open in the final last season, he's a good egg to me and I'd love it if we signed him in the future.

Looking at it again I think so too, Cesc was just worked up (and understandably so). I'm pretty sure Kane would have reacted differently had Cesc been winding him up. Lucky for Cesc Kane is a gent and just got on with it.

Italian Newspaper Tuttosport is claiming that we'd prefer to sell Juventus Cesc rather than Matic...

It will be insane to sell our most creative player.

Maybe Juve enquired about Cesc's availability. He would be amazing in the Italian league - but it will be a loss for Chelsea to sell the one player who can provide precision passes and has a good rapport with Costa.

Thing with fabregas is, he doesnt fit Contes all action mould.

I think a team can afford one 'luxury player' but Hazard fills that spot for us. Defensively you cannot carry two passengers. I wouldnt mind if we got a good fee and spent it elsewhere in that position.
