November 27, 201411 yr On pace to absolutely shatter the PL assist record. 30+ assists is a real possibility.
November 28, 201411 yr What number is the record at these days? Quick search says it was Henry in the 02/03 season with 20. Crazy to think Fabregas is halfway there already, just shows what an incredible contribution he has made to the team.

November 28, 201411 yr Im glad we have Fab.....Was sad to see lamps go but hes doin ok......fab should be around in 5 years time
November 28, 201411 yr The thing about Fabregas is, much like Pirlo and Alonso, and unlike lampard, he plays the game at his pace and dictates the tempo of the entire match, so it isn't unreasonable to think that he could still be playing at the level he is now for close to another decade. He doesn't rely on physical prowess, so aging won't take its toll on him like it did on box to box players like Lamps.
November 28, 201411 yr I think Fabregas would definitely have gone to Arsenal if he could. He said in his statement "Yes, everyone knows that Arsenal had the first option to sign me. They decided not to take this option and therefore it wasn't meant to be" and "I considered all the other offers very carefully and I firmly believe that Chelsea is the best choice." In my opinion, it clearly shows Chelsea were his second choice. Where he says "therefore it wasn't meant to be" probably means that was where his first choice was and then he says "all the other offers" i.e. second choice.
November 28, 201411 yr I wouldn't mind if we were his 10th choice, he's a blue now and fitting in about as perfectly as we could possibly have wished.

Yeah I think we were too but I think it's obvious the deal was done months before. Arsenal were probably told by Barca he was available, turned down their option and then we moved in. December 1, 201411 yr @OptaJoe: 153.6km - Not only is he the leading assist maker in the PL this season (10); Cesc Fabregas has also run further than anyone else. Engine.

December 2, 201411 yr @OptaJoe: 153.6km - Not only is he the leading assist maker in the PL this season (10); Cesc Fabregas has also run further than anyone else. Engine. The sheer amount of times he positions himself to be available for a pass, going forward and back, is amazing and it should be a great lesson for the younger guys like Ake.
December 6, 201411 yr BBC reporting that Cesc is the first player to clock up 100 miles running in the Premier League this season. I know he works hard but that's amazing.
December 6, 201411 yr BBC reporting that Cesc is the first player to clock up 100 miles running in the Premier League this season. I know he works hard but that's amazing. Yup, and only Matic and Azpi put in more tackles per match than him. Makes most passes per game (85) too. The guy is an absolute workhorse.
December 6, 201411 yr Will miss the Hull game after his yellow today. A "smaller" side that will sit back and invite us to try and pick them open....need all the creativity we can get, so Cesc will be a big miss.
December 6, 201411 yr He wasn't exactly a big influence in the sunderland game, or today, so I think we'll be fine without him for one game. What we need, is drogs and costa playing and luis instead of azpi at LB.
December 6, 201411 yr A rest for Fab is a good thing, he wasn't at the races for the whole game today.
December 6, 201411 yr So hardworking in defence and anything good was going to come from him today so a big miss. Him and Matic are going to be massive for us after Christmas.
December 7, 201411 yr the more attention I pay to Cesc's stats the more amazed I am. not only does he run the farthest and make the most passes he now has the most assists (11). Last season only St. Gerrard and Chewy matched that - and that was for the whole season Securing the Cesc Fabregas move was inspired - well done Jose
