No wonder we’re scraping 4th if he’s considered one of our best players! I would absolutely take Mertens and the extra £15m or whatever to spend in the summer if it were to happen.

If Barca wanted Willian so bad, they'd have him. At a guess, every time a Barcelona forward gets injured (currently Suarez) Willian's agent sensing another big pay day puts a rumour out..............

That would require knowing the outcome of our season with Willian and without him. Sure if we knew, for certain, with him we make top 4 but without him we dont then of course you keep him for that reason. Since the spurs game he has been poor imo. I personally dont believe he will make the difference and we would be better off selling him, if the offer is real, which I do not believe it is, and playing Anjorin.

We all know by now how inconsistent Willian is. We have all got used to the pattern. Lots of ability and on his day a very decent player, but that day tends to be a few times a season, with the rest being a cross between acceptable / average / poor. I would take £20M for him now but it won't happen so hopefully he does help us secure top 4, and then we can say our thanks and goodbyes in the Summer. He could do with a new challenge and we need someone better.
February 1, 20206 yr Reports coming out that he agreed to join Barca when contract runs out. F*ck me, we have a huge summer coming up.

It was Malcom + £20M, what they considered a £50M offer. And I'm on the fence whether I believe it to be legit or not. Barca did move him on for roughly £30M, so their evaluation was relatively accurate. Ironically, Malcom scored as may premier league goals as Willian after the January window closed last year.

We should have taken what ever they offered, yet again today he proved what a waste of space he is. Apart from a few occasions where he seems to give a sh*t.
February 2, 20206 yr i actually liked to see him in the false 9.. linked up a few times.. before Barkley took it on himself to lose possession atleast 5 times in the 15-20 minutes they both were on.. i actually liked the substitution because nothing was sticking with Tammy.. i also thought the ref gave us nothing with every 50-50 going against us... Tammy was a very big shout.. which i think the Ref bottled in the first half.. also cost us a corner and let them take one well over the injury time..
February 5, 20206 yr Good on you frank- https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7970085/Willian-dropped-Chelseas-draw-Leicester-sulking-failed-Barcelona-move.html
February 5, 20206 yr I don't even need to click that link to know it's a load of crap they made up. He got dropped because he hasn't been playing very well lately.

Hmmmm - poster who cheered when Willian got injured on the pitch posts a derogatory article about Willian. There's a surprise then. (Oh, and the link doesn't go to that page at all, anyway, and the embedded link to a Sun article of all things fails to load. I suspect bullsh*t)

Where did i 'cheer' When Willian got injured. In your mind derogatory, in mine and others not. I do not like the man, he's lazy, wasteful and most of the time a waste of space. My opinion. Butt out.
February 6, 20206 yr I like that 2020 is Willian's eighth year as a Chelsea player, and yet 90% of Chelsea fans still couldn't give you an accurate description of what he actually does.
