May 10, 201412 yr Does he have a role next season if we choose to move someone in that band of three on? The homegrown status might be important, particularly if some of our older England players move on.
May 10, 201412 yr I have no problem with him staying as a squad player i still like him despite Brendan doing his best to ruin him. Will he stay? cant see it. Just thinking back to his pre season with us this season, he played well.
May 10, 201412 yr I didn't think he was too bad with us to be honest, he's been quite shocking for the dippers though so either he's been our own agent or he's just become sh*te.
May 10, 201412 yr He got into double figures in goals and was the best Chelsea winger for a period leading upto the Afcon. It was a good first season. A little harshly dealt with.
May 10, 201412 yr No role. No use for Jose. We must sell him. I thought we'd never sell Mata and he really tried to defend.
May 10, 201412 yr I've always liked him. He was sh*t for Liverpool, but then again, what decent player wouldn't be? He was a good squad player for us, scored 10 goals and had some assist. That headed goal vs Shaktar i think, was a pretty important one wasn't it? (my memory is a bit dodgey on this) I believe he can be a good squad player. He is much further in his development than Piazon for instance.

Just thinking back to his pre season with us this season, he played well. I don't think Brendan ruined him at all, he's just that bad. Brendan gave him plenty of chances and stuck with him when most were calling for him to be dropped, heck he's still bringing him on a substitute these days despite him doing next to nothing all season. Even when the stats looked good for him last season, his performances were largely pretty poor. Watching him trying to pass and dribble past players is painful.
May 10, 201412 yr quick, direct, runs at/past defenders. in our style of play with fast counter attacks i see that he would be a good squad player. guess it depends on how much he is willing to stick around and play limited games, although maybe his lack of appearances on loan have given him a bit of perspective and he'll realise that just being in our squad is an achievement

I disagree his first game he scored and got MOTM, he then had some bad games ( what young winger doesn't?) and then was just completely frozen. He starts bringing on players like Aspas and a young kid Teixeira over him who wouldn't start feeling a bit down and unconfident?. He did the same with Josh at Swansea, hopefully this is the last time we give Brendan one of our young players on loan infact i hope its the last time we ever sell Liverpool one of our players.

I don't think Moses is a terrible player at all. He was a very good squad player for us last season, had goals, a few assists. I think he has lost his confidence at Liverpool, it's not surprising when he wasn't even really given a chance. I also don't think he even wanted to go to Liverpool and i don't think he was expecting to be loaned out, especially after doing so well in pre season. I actually thought we were in a better position having him at the start of the season than we were when we spent £30,000,000 on Willian.
May 10, 201412 yr didn't he not say when he signed he was using chelsea to get a move to the likes of barca. Nearly sure it was in the monthly magazine when he joined
May 10, 201412 yr this is a loan that hasn't worked; not for Moses and not for us. not sure Jose will find room for him but you never know, if he appears to offer a bit of pace and an ability to go past defenders he might well make the cut for next season

I actually thought we were in a better position having him at the start of the season than we were when we spent £30,000,000 on Willian. He was a good squad player purely because he was the only winger we had, it was new and exciting. Rather than watch us attempt to break down teams down the middle we had someone who could run down wings and try to make something happen. His ability however was never up to scratch. He probably didn't want to go out on loan, he's had plenty of games for them where he just doesn't looked arsed. If that's all it takes to knock his confidence though then I'm not sure he's the right player to progress under Jose. I don't know about that. While Willian's attacking qualities leave a lot to be desired, he has offered a lot more to the team than Moses has. Is the difference worth the £30m? Probably not at the moment but I have more faith in Willian adapting and improving than I do Moses.
May 10, 201412 yr I can only comment on what I've seen, and he's been poor. Some of you that rate him have obviously seen something from him that we haven't seen from him at Liverpool. He did show some very rare glimpses of promise, but overall has been largely disappointing.

I still find it weird that a huge club with so much history and all that bollocks with need to get a player on loan from a plastic club with no history. Very strange

May 10, 201412 yr You said it. Confuses the hell out of me too. Your a Liverpool fan so tell me why you need help from chelsea for players. Surely you must know. Considering ye like to think your all high and mighty. Why does the so called best and biggest club in the world get players in on loan. It's more of a smaller team thing to do

Why does the so called best and biggest club in the world get players in on loan. It's more of a smaller team thing to do So you're helping us? Very kind I'm sure. You've done it before to be fair. Torres £50m, and Ramires for whatever it was, and then letting us sign the Dstud was also good of you. I don't believe in loan signings. Granted its a way of getting in extra players without the transfer fee then if it works out who knows, but our two loan deals this season, Moses and Cissokho have the same thing in common. They've been rank.

What I said your meant to be a huge club and your looking for help of us a club that ye like to run down at every chance ye get. If Moses done well we would have helped ye but he's been poor. As for torres I doubt you felt we helped ye at the time. The fact is why is the so called biggest club in the world getting players in on loan. Ar the end of the its Liverpool's decsion. I just find it strange. I could imagine us doing it. It's the same with arsenal getting a player on loan from us. Just strange that rivals do business like that

Just strange that rivals do business like that I was ignoring the blatant digs, and commenting more on Moses as some people on here seem to rate him. Don't know how often he's played for you but some people have seen enough. I'm not interested in little arguments about the biggest club in the world or best fans in the world, or who's plastic. But if you feel the need carry on.......

This is a thread on victor Moses all I.sai was it strange that a club as big as liverpool get players on loan. What digs are you on about ?
May 11, 201412 yr Don't really rate him as a top level player... if he's happy to live on the bench fair enough But he's probably more suited to a mid table team.
May 11, 201412 yr Main memory of him in a Chelsea shirt is that cracking late header against Shakhtar.
May 11, 201412 yr Difficult to say what the future holds, he had promise in his first season, good against the weaker teams poorer against the better teams. He has definitely regressed this season, would only see him staying as some said above because of home grown player rules. Interesting point about big clubs and loan players, outside of Italy I can't think of a big club that has players on loan from other clubs. Maybe this is part of the reason he has found it difficult at Liverpool. The fans have been very quick to get on his back because he a player who doesn't belong to them, especially the club who have usurped them as part of Europe's elite. Another thought, will he work hard enough defensively to be in a Mourinho side? Edited May 11, 201412 yr by Tallchris
