May 3, 201511 yr I must have missed that bit? What did he say? The reporter said that it's amazing he played every second of our league campaign this season when 2 years ago some said he was incapable of playing twice a week. JT quickly replied along the lines of "It was just one person who said that, whoever that was I can't remember him." Edited May 3, 201511 yr by Jonty

May 3, 201511 yr I must have missed that bit? What did he say? JT with a dig at Rafa there: "One person said I couldn't play twice a week - he knows who he is."
May 3, 201511 yr In terms of trophies won, is he now the most successful captain in the history of English football?
May 3, 201511 yr In terms of trophies won, is he now the most successful captain in the history of English football? Could be, i can't think of any captain that has won more in English football.
May 3, 201511 yr In terms of trophies won, is he now the most successful captain in the history of English football? I'd be very surprised. One or two Man Utd and LIverpool captains spring to mind. Perhaps somebody can check.

May 4, 201511 yr As odd as it sounds, I was quite surprised that he sent condolences publicly. I thought it was a bit risky given Rio and Terrys history. Good move though but perhaps it could have backfired.

May 6, 201511 yr http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/may/04/john-terry-chelsea-premier-league-title Still captaining, still leading, still legending. That probably amused me more than it should!
May 6, 201511 yr http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/may/04/john-terry-chelsea-premier-league-title Brilliant! i liked this para In 2011 he was rated statistically the third-best passer in Europe, his completion ratio just a little behind Xavi (famously, he also has more career goals than Andrés Iniesta). Terry was a FifPro world team of the year constant between 2005 and 2009 and has been a favourite son to some of the great modern managers. Carlo Ancelotti called him “the captain of all team captains”. Fabio Capello, who knows a thing or two about pure defending having coached Paolo Maldini, Franco Baresi and Fabio Cannavaro, considered Terry the only England player who didn’t shrink when he put on the shirt.
May 7, 201511 yr This man is the heart and soul of the club! He's literally achieved everything possible here and the way he conducted himself on Sunday was first class in every respect from celebrating with his teammates, to sending out his condolences publicly to Rio and his family and of course making a subtle dig towards the FSW! Seriously one of the greatest players the club has ever seen and I've ever seen!
May 7, 201511 yr They don't make centre backs like JT anymore, he's a dying breed and one of if not the last of his kind just now. It's going to be near impossible to replace him like for like.
