Meanwhile Cisse has owned up and apologised which contradicts Evans own take on events.

"I have apologies to make to a lot of people today," said Cisse. "I reacted to something I found very unpleasant."

"Sometimes it is hard not to react, particularly in the heat of the moment.

I have always tried hard to be positive a role model, especially for our young fans, and yesterday I let you down.

"I hope children out there playing football for their clubs and schools this weekend will know better than to retaliate when they are angry.

"Perhaps when they see the problem it now causes me and my team they will be able to learn from my mistake, not copy it."

While not making total amends, cisse has done the right thing here...Evans is an embarrassment

Cisse knows he's been caught, by apologising and showing remorse before any formal charges are issued he's definitely doing the right thing.

Like I said though, what this means for Evans is that Cisse is basically calling him a lair for denying that he spat.

Evans statement said:

"I was totally unaware of any spitting incident and had assumed that the issue at the time was with the challenge and his attempted retaliation to the tackle from the floor.

Is he honestly saying he was "totally unaware" that this happened to him?

EDIT:

Also 6 game ban if found guilty for both players.

Any news on the margin of punishment? Despite apologizing I think Cisse still should be punished, but I respect that he was brave enough to admit he made a mistake and own up to it.

On Evans' part though that's despicable, although it's not how it works or how it's gonna go, I think Evans should be punished more thoroughly purely for the fact he's denying it. There's 25 cameras in the arena mate, we all see what's happening. Disgraceful..

Do you think this'd ever happen under Ferguson? My bets on no.

Warning: Graphic content

Nedum Onuoha returned to the QPR line up against Arsenal on wednesday night, but was forced off with a cut near to his eye.

QPR midfielder Shawn Wright Phillips uploaded this picture of Onuoha's injury.

6 weeks each is max,,   as Cisse has already been banned this season could get more, or less because he has applogised, no telling really it is the FA after all.

Both players charged...given lack of contrition on Evans part, hope he gets bigger ban than cisse

In a way I wish Cisse hadn't reacted but, like Matic, who could blame him. Evans' initial spitting , disgraceful especially as it was so obvious and then he denies it. Evans and his spitting are a disgrace.

Mohammad Salah doing his best Romelu Lukaku impression by scoring for fun on loan whilst a Chelsea player, Watch how he'll come back and start demanding more playing time in the summer, Mourinho will pretend he has a future at the club and how he has to fight for a place whilst clearly not needing him and then some dumb schmuck side will pay you £30 million for him, Putting a nice £18 million profit in your pockets, I've seen this movie before. :laugh2:

All he's doing so far is proving that what Cuadrado did in the Italian league obviously wasn't that difficult.

That's my worry too. His goals seem reminiscent of Cuadrado's, breaking into plenty of space which just doesn't exist in our games most of the time.

We really need to start giving players more of a chance...

I agree but have you seen the comments on here?  Players get decimated for a few poor performances!  Oscar needs to be sold........! And that's established players, let alone squad players.

6 goals and 1 assist in 7 appearances for Salah, that is an impressive start. He has already got more goals than Cuadrado got in his time at Fiorentina this season.

Is there an option in his loan contract for Fiorentina to buy him ? If this form of his continues then there is no way that Fiorentina aren't going to use that option if it is available.

I hope we haven't made a mistake here. It's far too early to write Cuadrado off yet but his stats weren't exactly impressive in Italy and they have already been matched in 7 games by a player that couldn't even get a game here.

Early impressions say that Fiorentina have got the better end of the deal.

Whose only noticeable talent is kicking opposition players and getting away with it. Not a surprise he's branched out into spitting at them too.

One win in their last ten games is shocking.

The purse strings have been a lot looser for Martinez than they ever were for Moyes but he's taken them backwards.

He's been allowed to drop £28m on Lukaku whose form has been patchy, bought in Eto'o on god knows what wages only for things to turn sour and him leave within 6 months.

He's bought in what four wingers in two seasons? And yet he's not added to or improved the defense.

Moyes built a good foundation at that club and Martinez rode on the coat tails of that last season... Personally I don't rate Martinez that highly, he narrowly missed out on relegation with Wigan more than once and that was down to luck and not good management in my opinion.

Meanwhile and I know he isn't thought too highly of by many, once again Mark Hughes is doing a solid job. He did well at Blackburn and Fulham and he's doing a solid job again at Stoke

Bradford have beaten more Premier League teams this calendar year than Everton have.

I'm surprised Martinez doesn't get more criticism. He's turned them into Wigan. A pretty style of football but can't defend to save their lives. That FA Cup win (in a season where he also took them down) looks more and more like a blip in an otherwise pretty ordinary managerial record.

Wish he performed half as well for us. Wouldn't have been loaned then. Bit late to remember how to play football

It is truly impressive but there's no guarantee that he can play like that in the Prem.

The Italian league is far below in quality right now.
