This guy looks a pure old school striker, you know, the type where you get the ball in the box and they take care of it. He looks to put him self in the right positions, attacks the 6 yard box. Don't think he is going to do to much outside of the box which is fine as we have the players for that.

I hope that is true, though I don't know much about him. He is relatively unknown, so hopefully if we sign him he could be our own hidden gem. Italy is known to produce some brilliant forwards, so if he turns out to be the next inzaghi or vieri.

 

I've never heard of him before this saga or seen him play outside of youtube reels, but his conversion rate is ridiculous.  I think he has a goal every 95 minutes or something like that, with an unusually high on target rate.  Problem is he seems to have injury problems, the remarkable thing about him is his ability to spring back into form even after long periods out.  I'm sure our scouts and Mourinho know what they're doing, but he looks like a good move on paper.  Just concerned that he's made of glass and we end up with Costa and Destro both out.

That's just it though, no matter how much we 'armchair managers' like or dislike a player, there's a reason the likes of Mourinho, Pep, Ancelotti etc. get paid millions to manage teams, they know a hell of a lot more than even the most knowledgeable fans and pundits. If the manager signs a player, people can complain or applaud all they like, but the player has been signed by someone who knows the game and the player inside out, not someone who sits with a can of beer and a pizza shouting at the TV.

If Torres goes, Costa is out at least 6 weeks, and Arsenal are also inquiring about him, Destro's value has increased quite substantially. Roma has no problem holding out until their demands are met.

Hope we get the Wolfman! Not sure why but there's something I like about him..and as someone mentioned earlier here we could use an Italian player.

Think pretty much every club in the world would say that mate. Not much point though if we've already got our main striker on high wages. Destro would offer us decent enough cover for if Costa gets a knock and I can't image he's going to be demanding high wages. I would love Falcao, but Destro makes a lot more sense.

He thing is, falcao wasn't exactly known at 23. You have to give this kid a chance; he could turn out to be a very good buy. He is still young and plenty time to improve.

As long as he doesn't get on his kness and start preying before kick of, make a M or a D with his hands when he scores or start looking like a lesbian I'd be very happy for him to be like Hernandez.

Roma have said he is not for sale, 100% staying. Their owner said that.  To go and sell him now would damage any trust the fans have in him.  He's pretty much backed himself into a corner now and would have to reject every offer just to keep his word.
