Either Dave or Cahill. This match was the classic banana peel. We did slip but both players were able to help stem the attack of sland.

Went with Courtois, i thought everyone else was poor. If Courtois didn't get his hand to that cross in the first half we would have lost the game.

Matic for me. One of the green lights today, wasn't bad performance for him today. He shot more than Oscar and Costa today, he tried to do something.

Have to go with Cahill, was more solid than JT, defended very well on occasions. Matic was good too, Drogba isn't even far off from MOTM for me, if he'd come on earlier, he may have won the game for us.

Courtois, because he didn't let a goal in. Everyone else didn't do their jobs properly

No way was Matic MOTM. He passed the ball like Stevie Wonder.

Cahill for me, another mention for the Drogs, nearly won the game or us with a couple of chances and looks to be our second choice striker, rightly so from his improvement so far.

Generally a poor performance by most of our outfield players. Sunderland made it difficult for us but I expected something a bit special from the likes of Hazard, Oscar or Fabregas.

Cahill for me as he looked solid. Good performance too from Coutrois.

Has to be one of the defenders 'cos the attackers had a complete off day - looked like one match too many.

No he gave the ball away very cheaply on quite a few occasions during the game.

If Mikel had been that lax in his distribution he would have been slaughtered for it.

Courtois didn't do much wrong and this is not easy when you don't have anything to do much of the game.

The game's actual MOTM was Cattermole (tells you everything you need to know about the sort of game it was, doesn't it?)

I thought Matic made quite a few poor passes too, although he wasn't alone (terry too). Oscars least influential game for a while. I thought we really suffered having a right back at left back today (not Dave's fault), it made it harder to try and stretch their defence wider to create a bit of space for the boys in the middle. Ivanovic worked hard up and down the right in this regard trying to push for a goal, so I'd just edge him over Cahill.

Cortouis for me. Great interception in the first half to save a goal and did his job throughout. One of the best goalkeepers Ive seen when it comes to dealing with crosses

It might be a strange one to some but I think Terry! He was great in providing leadership and stability in our defence.

 

Courtois was also excellent as well.
