November 12, 201510 yr Ruben starting for the U21's, lots of Chelsea talent on show in a midfield including him Chalobah and Lewis Baker. Hopefully we will see the midfield 3 gel together as it could be a bright future with all 3 of them in our midfield.

November 12, 201510 yr Courtois Aina - Christiansen -Zouma - Baba RLC - Chalobah Palmer - Boga - C. Musonda Solanke That's my pick of the youth and obviously it misses out other players of high potential such as; Baker Piazon Bamford Clarke-Salter Etc
November 12, 201510 yr All 3 of them? You have a better chance at winning the lottery Well I see us having RLC and Baker in our squad in the next few years, with Baker coming in as a replacement for Mikel and RLC being slowly integrated into the side. I think Chalobah will be the one to miss out but that doesn't mean he can't make it but he just doesn't seem to be developing at the moment. At the very least it can't be a bad thing having the core of the England U21's squad on our books. With MvG and Pasalic also to be considered we have a plethora of midfield talent to come through so some will have to miss out. But the reason I see RLC and Baker making it is that we have to match a homegrown quota which I only see getting more strict. On a side note I also think Solanke has everything you need to make it here. We could do with some players actually coming through our academy. Edited November 12, 201510 yr by PedroMendez

Musonda Solanke That's my pick of the youth and obviously it misses out other players of high potential such as; Baker Piazon Bamford Clarke-Salter Etc I'm incredibly biased, but that team is off its tits!!!
November 12, 201510 yr Why do their parents encourage the players to join big clubs and then complain when they don't get a chance, what did they expect would happen. erm, get a chance, at the very least?!

Musonda Solanke That's my pick of the youth and obviously it misses out other players of high potential such as; Baker Piazon Bamford Clarke-Salter Etc This is why Ive been confused when people say we need to buy buy buy. We literally have an entire team of talented young players waiting in the wings. Its optimistic to think Chalo, RLC and Baker will all be great. But one of the three would do because we have 4 or 5 other great young players behind them.

Musonda Solanke That's my pick of the youth and obviously it misses out other players of high potential such as; Baker Piazon Bamford Clarke-Salter Etc Baker has to be a starter amongst our current youth. And Ake?
November 12, 201510 yr RLC needs to get more games. He has the ability to be our new Lampard, box to box midfielder who can score. Losing him would be as big a mistake as manure selling Pogba
November 13, 201510 yr Well I see us having RLC and Baker in our squad in the next few years, with Baker coming in as a replacement for Mikel. You think Baker would replace Mikel? So ypu think Baker can be a DM for us? Well I guess you dont have much faith in Mourinho staying
November 13, 201510 yr I think Baker can play and does play a deep lying playmaker role and already has a good positional awareness which will only get better, and in a squad with RLC and Matic all our midfielders don't have to be physical beasts. I'm not sure he is defensively good enough for Mourinho yet but with another year and a halves development he can certainty get there. We have 4 young midfielders that are potentially good enough for us these RLC, Baker, MvG and Pasalic, you could also include Chalobah but he needs to get his arse in gear if that's going to happen. So obviously not all of them are going to make it but seeing as Baker is English I believe he can definitely earn a squad space. On Mourinho I hope he stays and for a long time, and I hope he will continue to bring in some of the youngsters.as I see our team looking like this in a couple of seasons time, there will obviously be a few transfers but I is a lot harder to predict those. CourtoisAzpi - Zouma - Christensen/(stones) - Baba MVG/(Pogba) - Matic/RLC Willian/Kenedy - (Oscar)/Musonda - Hazard Costa/Solankesubs Aina Ake Kalas Baker RLC Pasalic Nathan Traore AbrahamI don't think Bamford will make it, and with Matic, Costa and Willian being 28/29 replacements might need to be lined up; maybe that's RLC for Matic as he has the physical presence, (Chalobah is really the only other one that can match that physical presence although MVG and Pasalic aren't small) Solanke for Costa they too are of similar build (Abraham fits that mold too) and Kenedy seems a fitting replacement for Willian. Our squad looks pretty sharp for years to come. Edited November 13, 201510 yr by PedroMendez
November 13, 201510 yr This is why Ive been confused when people say we need to buy buy buy. We literally have an entire team of talented young players waiting in the wings. Its optimistic to think Chalo, RLC and Baker will all be great. But one of the three would do because we have 4 or 5 other great young players behind them. It's where I get lost too when I hear the moaning about inactivity in transfer market. If you want to give youth a chance (youth you feel are good enough to get a chance in the best team in English football-maybe not now) there should be no need to buy anyone cause guess what. You buy equates to youth not playing ar getting their chance. Even though Mou learned from Van Gaal and is probably better than him in terms of success I rate Van Gaal more for his willingness to always blood youth everywhere he's been. One thing that I'd have rather Mou picked up from him instead of the turgid sh*t on a stick football.
November 13, 201510 yr If you know the manager isnt going to play the youth anyway its only reasonable to want replacements over some of our current players.
November 13, 201510 yr I would have Baker, Charlie Colkett & Kyle Scott all ahead of Kasey Palmer. I totally made a mistake with Palmer because I actually meant Abraham.
November 13, 201510 yr Almost... But Traore has to start. Baker has to be a starter amongst our current youth. And Ake? Nathan, Omoru, Palasic, Kenedy the list is utterly endless. This is why Ive been confused when people say we need to buy buy buy. We literally have an entire team of talented young players waiting in the wings. Its optimistic to think Chalo, RLC and Baker will all be great. But one of the three would do because we have 4 or 5 other great young players behind them. It does pain me to see such a brilliant youth team, but i think until we are allowed a B team (i.e. never) all these players are to us is pound signs and, in many cases, future thorns in our sides. November 13, 201510 yr Thats a bogus rule as well. Why shouldnt a club be allowed to field a second team lower down the pyramid
November 13, 201510 yr If he looks for a loan move I wouldn't blame him at all, he's too good for under 21 football but Jose isn't giving him a real chance despite everybody else in his position playing terribly
November 14, 201510 yr I'd play him instead of Ramires. This is actually the best chance for us to play youngsters seeing as we have no chance of winning the league and top 4 looks unlikely.
November 14, 201510 yr This is the best season to play him and he fits the mold of big physical players who we lack in the team. I think he needs to be played more.
