Where did I say he hasn't been poor? If you look back I've been moaning about him for ages in the match day threads. I missed the s off weeks but I didn't say crap for A week. There's no 'a' in my sentence. The fact is he got an assist yesterday and two goal, you can whinge all you want but he gave a good performance yesterday. Whether you count his assist as an assist or not the fact is it's an assist.

Next time you post, leave a copy on my desk so I can correct it.  He puts in half a game in four months so all is forgiven? Not by me. No doubt he'll be a permanent fixture until the end of the season, now that he's finally located the back of the net, so let's see if he can carry on what he's being paid to do, starting with an away day against Everton.

Im making the point that he put in a good lerofmsbce against Southampton and just because you have a problem with him doesn't mean his assist wasn't an assist.

I hope he does carry on from this game cause he has been sh*te since the turn of the year. I'm not denying that.

Costa needs to decide if he'll give us 100% or not.

He was a lot better when he's concentrating on scoring and not arguing

I think he showed us that in the last match.

As long as we get good money I'm not against him leaving. Although he has been the only consistent goal scoring striker we've had in a long time I was never really able to warm to him.

The Costa we bought was pretty good, scored a lot of goals but I wasn't a fan of his personality.
The Costa we had in the first half of the season was a loveable guy, not moaning or arguing and just scoring goals and winning games. But it seems he can't keep that up for more than half a season. And when he doesn't score he fails do help the team in a different way.

Hopefully we'll be able to thank him for helping us win 2 league titles after this season and give him a good send off.

Tianjin Chairman- "As for the foreign imports, three stars have been nailed down by our club and we will choose to buy one. The club’s representatives are working on the deal. And I will absolutely honour my promise to the fans that the new striker will be, without a doubt, a world-class player."

That rules out Costa.

As long as we get minimum £100 million for him and fine the problem we have is finding the suitable replacement who can score and win you a match when we are not supposed to that's the bigger problem

Matt Law and The Telegraph also reporting that Tianjin are confident of a £76 million summer deal now.
Looks like the story got legs.

Would have liked to get a little more but you couldn't complain.

He won't want to get injured and ruin the deal so can't see him trying at all from now on, worrying for the title run and cup final.

he hasn't been trying for the majority of this half of the season and we're still winning games, so no need to worry now. the disappointing thing for me is the rumoured fee for him at €90 million. i was expecting us to bargain a bit harder, but seeing as he seems to want to leave i guess not much we can do.

yes, disappointing fee considering his rank in our team.
