September 25, 201510 yr Poor or not, if Ivanovic doesn't start it will kill his confidence. I've been his biggest critic part of last season and all of this season. He was outstanding against Arsenal and to kill any hope of him regaining both confidence and form would be poor judgement from Jose. I still would have Dave at right back and let Baba settle into this league at left back. He's not going to improve or adjust from the bench but I think Ivan showed enough against our bitches. Falcao I'm fine with. He's not had the chance and if he's badly struggling he can go off at half time. He knows his chances are limited and hopefully he works his ass off. It's Newcastle after all. Despite our record against them, they are absolutely laughable at the moment. Edited September 25, 201510 yr by MayosNoun
September 25, 201510 yr I don't care about falcaos touch but if he plays I want to see some goals. Trouble is our strikers have had few chances this season. We aren't creating enough due to Fabs work rate having gone down and no width from the full backs.
September 25, 201510 yr I would start with Remy who is stronger and quicker, and then bring Falcao on later, like the 95th minute.
September 26, 201510 yr I just do not understand how Remy does not see the pitch more. He played well down the stretch last year in place of Diego. This is a big match, as they all are now. Time to end the St. James Park streak and win easily Let's own these guys from the opening whistle. Up with the Chels!!
September 26, 201510 yr A win here is an absolute necessity. We've not done well in the past, but perhaps this time around, we will play with conviction (or at least I'm hoping). To say I'm confident in our team, well it's too early given our poor start, but hey our recent few games have shown our mettle. A win here will be most appreciated and keep our ghosts at bay.
September 26, 201510 yr Remi must start imo.He will score goals with a run in the side. Not our lucky ground of late but hope that all changes today.....Up the Chels!
September 26, 201510 yr Not too worried about this one, most of the times we've lost up there they've been games at the end of the season when we've already won the League and have taken our foot of the accelerator, coupled with the fact that Maclaren is by far the most inept manager known to mankind, 4-0.
September 26, 201510 yr Newcastle players are expecting Mclaren to get sacked. If we start strong and go all out in the first 15 mins and score we are good. You can literally hear their backs snapping. This is THE time to face them. Remy to start with Haz and Pedro on wings.
September 26, 201510 yr I really hate this fixture, No matter how badly they've played in the previous they always seem to raise their game and get a positive result against us. I hope we just go for it and don't hold back.

I hope we just go for it and don't hold back. Couldn't agree more, it really winds me up. Even when they had John Carver as manager they came to Stamford Bridge in January and played brilliantly, then went about two months without winning. An early goal will be key to really rattle the fans and after that we can take them apart
September 26, 201510 yr Hopefully Hazard can continue his goal scoring form against Newcastle, loves a goal against does our Eden. I'll be brave and say 3-1 Chelsea. The assist for Newcastle coming from Ivanovic. Edited September 26, 201510 yr by MissouriBlue
September 26, 201510 yr With city looking very likely to lose now 4-1 against Spurs . Todsys game is even more vital to win as we can close the gap to 5 points.
September 26, 201510 yr Author Can close the gap to city to 5 and be 6 off the top if we win this. More pressure added. We need to step up.
September 26, 201510 yr I thought I was being brave with my fiver on 1-0 Spurs...never expected that scoreline...happy for you Spud
September 26, 201510 yr A win and we are back in it. Even though it's early days! How quickly things shift around.
September 26, 201510 yr City have dropped points also quite early on in the season. Pressure is on for us but we are quite fortunate the magpies are not well.
September 26, 201510 yr How many times have we been in this situation where we can take advantage of our rivals losses and then cock it up ourselves against mediocre opposition....
September 26, 201510 yr What a chance! Fantastic to see City losing, now we have to show what we got. I got a good feeling, I'm sure our boys won't disappoint us today. COME ON CHELS!!!!
