Tammy Abraham

If you watch his goals, the vast majority are from crosses. We don't cross.

No striker no cross, not rocket science.

I think I'd rather have Abraham up front than any of our other current players right now. Already a proven goal scorer and still so young. A quick check on wikipedia and it seems he's doing much better in his loans than Kane did at a similar age.

If this is true, Chelsea put a big NOT FOR SALE sign on Abraham.

In terms of goals scored he's doing much better, but does he have the quality Kane did at a similar age? I don't think so personally.

For me he's very similar to Batshuayi - what I Iike about Tammy though is that he plays with more intelligence, he knows how to shield the ball and bring others into the game (even if he does still sometimes lose the ball when he comes deep) - in other words he does basic things well that Batshuayi neglects to do.

For me he'd be a more than capable option for us next season.

So would I like him to get his chance, if we were to play with a style that would be beneficial for a 'poacher'... absolutely.

I never saw Kane play until he broke through at Spurs, but the goals show he's more productive than Kane was at 21. That doesn't necessarily mean he'll go on to be as successful as Kane has but they only way he'll ever make it is if somebody (hopefully us) gives him a chance.

I agree about Batshuayi. I find it strange that some people believe he's good enough for us if Morata isn't.

This kid is a scoring machine

I hope he gets a chance to play w/ the First team in the Pre-Season & show his worth

And that's his 50th career goal on loan as well. Very impressive. If he played for someone else, we'd have spent £50M on him by now ... personally I like the energy and movement he displays (what little I have seen of him anyway)

I was all for him staying out on loan and getting game time; but with this false 9 malarkey,  and with it looking unlikely that Villa will make the Playoffs you just wonder. Giroud has only made 6 starts in the league all season so clearly the manager doesn’t think he is good enough. There is also Zero guarantees an ageing Higuain is a success in faster league. Why not move on Giroud, and have Tammy come in to compete with Higuain? It will give the manager time to assess him towards next season.

I think it's the ideal opportunity for Tammy to come back.

He clearly can't do any worse than what we have at the moment and even if we got Higuain, he would provide a great back up / competition.

Bangs in another one and top scorer in the league, save ourselves 70m ::clap2::

Nah needs a premiership loan, Giroud is still top class.. lol

Still insist he is not gaining anything being on loan as he isn’t getting challenged. Ideal world we would have gotten rid of Giroud, and given him the 2nd half to fight for his long term future, but this is Chelsea.

Does Girouds contract expire in the summer? If so there is no need to keep him.

I'd be just fine with him being the #2 striker next year with him getting lots of cup games and league appearances.

Most of us would but our striker situation is so f**ked up right now who knows who’ll be here next season.

Yeah, I don't know who the #1 will be, but I think Abraham would be a perfect #2 as he gets experience in OUR system.

What's the point in loaning him to a low level Premiership team? It won't replicate his level at Chelsea.

He needs to be playing in a team that generates chances. I would like to see him here next year as number 2. He's ready.

I think he deserves a chance to show what he can do at Chelsea after this loan. Last time he came off a great loan like this (at Bristol City) he was a bit younger and we shipped him off to struggling Swansea. While he still managed a few goals I think that loan set him back in terms of confidence. Now he is a bit older and more experienced why not give him a go for us? Another Premier League loan might work out but equally it could go the same way as the Swansea one.

It was a tongue in cheek comment regarding how things work with us, and I agree with your points.

With Giroud having 6mths to go and making noises about wanting out, now would be the ideal time to bring him back. Giroud has been very average here and we are gambling on Higuain, in an ideal world Tammy would be our 2nd forward.

I think Giroud has done ok, not played regularly so difficult to build momentum and assess properly. For me best used from the bench and he also always appears a professional when playing for us and often gets us a goal either directly or indirectly.

This way Tammy gets continuity and when he comes in during the summer he has time to pick up on Sarri's methods rather than having to adjust midway through the season in a new system.
