Sarri wants Giroud for next season, and if we keep Higuain (depressing thought), the only place left open for Tammy is #3 berth.

23 goals 2nd top scorer in the Championship, 2nd highest 'shots on target 69%'. Could be in the prem next season for Villa, they are in the play offs, look strong.

Yes it's just the Championship, but over half the teams in the EPL are Championship teams punching above their weight. He failed at Swansea because he was at the wrong club at the wrong time.

If we only get EL football next season, i don't see why Tammy can't use that as a platform to break into the first team, along with a few epl games against your Brightons and Huddersfield and such teams, he could get 20-30 starts.

With the transfer ban and Higuain hopefully leaving Tammy surely will get his chance, just think, Christiansen, Ampadu, Reece James, tomori, Mount, RLC, CHO and Tammy in the team!! I think I'm just dreaming, come August it will be Luiz, Pedro, Willian, Alonso etc

Harry Kane was dogsh*t before he got given a chance through Spurs having sh*t options up top. Got to give the lad the chance to see what he can do.

We are not the type of club. Tammy needs to be an almost finished article to go past Olivier or Gonzalo.

CHO isn't the finished article but everyone agrees he should be given the nod over Willian and Pedro. We, as a club, need to be making these steps to play our own talent.

Next season this looks to be a must. Not sure wheter we can even sign Gonzalo. Hope we wont.

Who to say the club even want sarri here next season? So what he wants may be irrelevant.

Though I hope we keep giroud. Very underrated player.

Giroud's already gone on record and said he needs to be playing more football than he currently does under Sarri.

So Sarri might want him to stay but Giroud might force the issue and leave.

It's all going to come down to whether the transfer ban is in place or not.

It's all up in the air, will Sarri be here, will we have cl or el football, will Eden leave, the transfer ban, cho, tammy, so many questions need answering.

It's these kinds of issues that are stopping me from enjoying the football at the moment. There is too much negativity surrounding the club. We really need some good news.

We just beat the Pikeys 2-0.

A lot depends on what happens over the summer re Sarri staying / new appointment, transfer ban etc. But I would love Tammy to be recalled and then it's down to him. He might not start first few games but as soon as he is given a chance he needs to grab it. If a striker plays and keeps scoring, he should keep his place - that's all he's gotta do.

Goal and an assist to help relegate Bolton today but apparently he’s hurt his shoulder.

I hope not I am hoping he helps Villa beat Leeds and Norwich.

Do you honestly think we will use Tammy? I feel he is miles away from being utilized even as a backup. He doesn't know Sarri's system and as we have seen with CHO and Ruben Sarri is not the adventurous type.

Plus he doesn't look like the striker Sarri wants. He is more of a Giroud than Higuain 5 years ago.

Sarri won't be here next season, so may get a chance, we won't have Higuain or giroud next season so now's his chance I hope.

Sarri is gone? Is that official?

Not yet, my party is on hold! Surely he won't be here after failing to get us champions League and some of the results and crap performances we have had, if we lose to Utd we would have lost away to all our top 6 rivals and with some dreadful performances to boot, spurs, arsenal and city away were dire, made us look light years away from them. I won't mention wolves home and away, Everton home and away, Leicester home and the mother of all Bournemouth away!!

We finish sixth and win the EL and Sarri stays. We finish 5th and lose in the EL final Sarri stays. We finish 4th and lose to Frankfurt. Sarri stays. We finish 6th and don't win EL and Sarri goes. This is my prediction.

I am starting to wonder if Sarri knows his. I am sure he has his system but is he capable of moulding players to play that system or adaptign his system to meet teh players abilities. He plays CHO, partly due to fan/media pressure and partly due to the consistently underwhelming performances of Pedro and Willian. He plays the lad on the right even though he prefers Hazard's left birth. Early on CHO shows he can skin a player hit the byeline and cross (aahh those were the days of proper wingers!) but he doesn't play a taller, aerially adept stiker in Giroud, he either plays Hazard or Higuain, both who want teh ball to feet.

If Abraham can develop Giroud's ability to hold defenders off, play in runners such as Hazard Willian etc, and can improve his feet for flicks and one touch passs, and then add that to his shootign ability and presence to head crosses from CHO what else is needed from a striker?

Not only that, there isn't any reason why he can't be learning the system while getting backup striker minutes. How many games are there in a season? 55? If he's the No. 2 option playing against the likes of Cardiff, Southampton, Brighton, etc... while getting some time in (hopefully) Champions League Group Stages and League Cup, there are more than enough minutes to go around for him to learn AT Chelsea. Rather than take a season on loan, then come in and need a season to adapt to the system.

I want Tammy at Chelsea next year.

Hoping he's with us next season, time for a refresh, a lot of the squad has become very stale and old together, especially with our transfer ban, just need a half decent coach that's wants to build a new team rather than one that just passes and rolls over.
