Now moved on to 20 goals.

Would he have made a difference .?

Not sat on the bench no.

We will never know.

Chelsea wont give him a proper run of games if he did come back

I doubt we will ever see him in a blue shirt again.

Real shame

I can't see any reason why he shouldn't be our second striker next season. He'd get 20 starts at least in a season as second striker.

With that, he'd have enough opportunity to prove himself worthy of a number 1 slot.

Who else would we get instead?!

20 goals by (early) February and only 21 years old.

If the boy doesn’t get a chance with us next season then you might as well close the academy.

If performing that well doesn’t earn you a chance then nothing will ever be good enough.

We’re literally begging for goals this season, resorting to loan deal to try and solve a goal scoring crisis.

Here’s a lad proving he can stick it in the onion bag!

Let Giroud leave at the end of the season, sell Michy B and give this guy a proper chance.

54 goals in 120 games just past his 21st birthday.

That is very impressive. Even if the majority came in the championship, which still a decent level.

He may not be good enough for us, but is there an example of such a potent goalscorer at that age, not going onto being a top player?

I really can't think of any.

Hopefully he comes back next season, I think he could learn from higuain with the view to Abraham leading the line in 18 months time.

Patrick Bamford? David Nugent?

But only way we’re going to find out is if we throw him in at the deep end. Make him second choice next season. Give him the cup games and the final 15/20 minutes in league games and see what happens. I refuse to believe he’ll perform worse than Giroud and Morata did the first half of this season.

He could be here next season. But he will barely play if he does stay. Is the Chelsea way...

The boy has 21 goals this season, still young and ready to prove himself. The only way to go is to trust him and play him and watch him become a part of a new generation of players, same goes for CHO and RLC and maybe even Ampadu. CHO-Tammy-Pulisic , RLC-Ampadu can become a new dynasty.

I mean what is Sarri going to do, put Morata back in the starting lineup once Higuain leaves? Or will he insist that Higuain can play 1 more season at this level? That's laughable.

At some point the club must realise that all it's not possible to create a new Lampard or John Terry if nobody wants to play them if you know what I mean, the club should have learned with De Bruyne that a young player should be given trust.

I dont disagree with you but again is not the Chelsea way anymore.

Depends on the numbers. I can easily see Tammy cm being the #2 next year. Which should mean he could get 15-20 starts across the whole season and play on nearly every game.

I don't see Giroud coming back. Doesn't make sense to buy a #2 when Michy and Tammy are already on the books.

We'll see.

He would have to be back up though. No way he's good enough to be a starter for us. The step up will be tougher for him, but I think as a back up and getting mins when he can would be of benefit to us. This is the difficult situation with young players like him, it's trying to keep them happy with the lack of mins per season with a club like us who are challenging for trophies every season.

The best case for Abraham would be for Higuain to stay one more year... that means we didn't get an Icardi or someone similar.  Also he gets to learn from a guy that will need fresh legs, and moves really well in the 18.  I think it's invaluable to a young player to watch film of a guy in the exact same role.

In my opinion there is no way that Tammy will be coming back as a first team starter. If anything, I can just about see him being 3rd choice back up, as, A) I don't think his style suits Sarri's play, B) we would be foolish to go into the season with a 31yr old Higuain and an unproven (in the premier league) youngster as number 2   C) Tammy was bang average when he got a chance in the premier league at Swansea.

Too good for the championship, but not yet good (or proven) enough to lead the line for a top 4 team. He needs another EPL loan, or a loan to a top tier club in Germany, Spain or Italy.

The problem is Swansea we’re absolutely horrendous when he was there, I could be wrong but did he not score a few at the start then Swansea sold sigurdsson to Everton and they went on to have a turgid season at creating chances. Plus bringing back Bony who was already hugely popular there.

i think he deserves as chance at being 2nd choice but I honestly can’t see the club doing that. It’s too far ingrained that we don’t play the youth whether they’re talented or not. Look at CHO, struggles to get any game time over two 30+ average wingers on our right hand side. I still think Sarri would move hazard to the false 9 before bringing on Tammy if he was here next year.

That would mean the club pays a high amount in order to keep Higuain 1 more year. But what you say is true because if someone else is bought he will have a much bigger preference than Tammy so you're right.

Specially if we get into the top 4 things would look very interesting and maybe in that case we would need a third striker.

Well, some of that would depend on Sarri and Hazard.  #2 really would end up being like #3 in some senses, because of the false 9 option. I still would love to see RLC get some false 9 min.

Sarri wants Giroud for next season, and if we keep Higuain (depressing thought), the only place left open for Tammy is #3 berth.

23 goals 2nd top scorer in the Championship, 2nd highest 'shots on target 69%'. Could be in the prem next season for Villa, they are in the play offs, look strong.

Yes it's just the Championship, but over half the teams in the EPL are Championship teams punching above their weight. He failed at Swansea because he was at the wrong club at the wrong time.

If we only get EL football next season, i don't see why Tammy can't use that as a platform to break into the first team, along with a few epl games against your Brightons and Huddersfield and such teams, he could get 20-30 starts.
