So who do the Danish play there? Can't understand how a national coach wouldn't play a talent like Christensen. At least for us it means he won't get injured.

I read its because they qualified with the current 2 starters who have been playing well together for the national team so the coach doesn't want to disrupt whats working.

Ah I had no idea they qualified. Hard to argue against that point I guess.

I'm sorry for all the Irish, because they simply didn't have a chance tonight. The Danes were just too good. Even Bendtner scored one!

There is absolutely no reason why Luiz would start. Christensen is currently pretty damn good. The club and Conte needs to give the place to a player who clearly deserves the spot. Other players will react if you earn the starting place by mere name.

Rock solid last night. Not sure if he gets credited for the goal. Good luck Denmark! This man is looking like the real deal even if he is still only a kid.

Another good game from this kid. Nailed down his place for PL games at last, can't wait to see how he develops from here. He looks so confident 

Gary Cahill was getting murdered on that left side, he got skinned a few times by Salah, it shows how good Christensen is really. Christensen was solid all game, can't remember him putting a foot wrong, him and Azpilcueta very impressive.

Admire what he is doing as a manager but he is easily the most annoying person in football.

He's rapidly becoming one of my favourite players. When JT left I thought we'd never be able to find someone like him again. 

Next thing I know, this lad steps up. 

I still grealtly miss JT in our starting line up, but Christensen is making it a little bit easier to accept he's gone.

Making 35k a week and we're looking to give him a new deal. I say overpay a little to keep him tied down and happy for the next 3 years. He's easily worth double what he's making right now. 

I guess the old adage of "if you're good enough, you're old enough."  We get blasted (sometimes rightfully so) for our loan policies, but the harsh reality is it's very hard to make it into the Chelsea first team.  Plenty lads that have gone on loan have proven that we were right to do so.  Christensen showed that he was good enough on loan, got CL experience, and came home to slot into our back 3.  I think he'd do well in a back 4 also, but that's maybe pure speculation on my point looking at him through blue tinted glasses.  I'd be ecstatic if we lock him down to a new contract, and saw him become a future Captain, like JT, that came through our youth ranks.
