What an utter utter nightmare of a season, truly woeful

This Lukaku or Costa argument is daft, we could've used Lukaku the year before but decided to sign an old Eto'o, Torres and Ba. Oh and look who did that, Mourinho..

 

I agre that we could've. Mourinho can be criticised for that but you can do that in the same breath as saying he did well bringing Costa in can't you. 

 

These things aren't binary.

I mean you do have a point that our developmental program needs a lot of work but Lukaku could've stayed but credit to him, he wanted to play. We had a choice between him and Costa and I see that because Lukaku scored today and Costa didn't it's apparently the wrong choice. In May it might've been a different story.

 

Its not as simple as Lukaku scoring and Costa not, I'm not that fickle and you can spot the few that are a mile off. We never gave him a chance! Nevermind being first choice.

For me that represents more than anything how short sighted our club and more specifically Mourinho were as well as how our stupid loan policy doesn't work.

Yeah but if Kenedy doesn´t offer more defensivly than Baba then why play him at LB?

Don't get it from some people they dislike mourinho which is their choice. Then list loads of players to get rid of that are playing now under a new manager. So is it Mourinhos fault or the current squad for our season?

And that's that. Season over. We certainly don't deserve to qualify for the Champions League and even the Europa League looks out of reach

How is it short-sighted? If Costa lasts a few seasons and one of Solanke or Abraham makes it then I'm sure it'll be viewed as great long-term planning.

 

Lukaku thought, with merit, that he deserved to be first-choice. Mourinho though Costa did. Both have been great signings for their respective clubs and today Lukaku got the upper hand.

 

But some will use it to bash Jose because....reasons.

Well glad that's over....nothing to play for and languishing in mid-table.  If the players weren't interested at the beginning of the season they sure aren't going to be interested for the remaining games.  No need to play Hazard and a few others from here on in.....see you next summer with hopefully a different line up than this shower..
