Chelsea vs. Leicester (PL) 15/05/2016 KO 15:00 GMT

Featured Replies

Couldn't see a match thread for this one so thought I'd get it started with my ideal teamsheet.

Courtois,

Azpilicueta, Cahill, Mikel, Rahman

Matic, Oscar, Loftus-Cheek

Hazard, Traore

Abraham

We all know this level of experimentation won't happen but:

1) The back 4 whilst makeshift was pretty good against Liverpool and deserves another shot. Plus with our defensive situation being unclear as it stands, getting them used to playing with each other is very important.

2) RLC as most of us agree needs more minutes. Oscar I think needs to be converted into a deeper CM where he can exploit his workrate and good (but not great) passing ability if he is to have a future here. Plus him and RLC alternating going forward gives us a more unpredictable attacking approach. This also frees up an AM slot for a more creative player.

3) Hazard has to play here after that mesmerising performance last night whereas Willian looks burnt out and Pedro should be allowed to heal his face with nothing on the line. Traore I think is a step above Kenedy and offers a more versatile option.

Courtois

Azpilicueta

Clarke-Salter

Cahill

Baba

Mikel

Fabregas

Hazard

Loftus-Cheek

Traore

Abraham

Would like to see the same XI, just Matic over Mikel. But I got 0 hope for this, no way Guss will let that happen.

Would never have imagined writing that pre-season but if we don't play well we could be in for an absolute doing. Leicester are on cloud nine and the football they played against Everton was outstanding.

Pato hopefully plays at least along with Abraham. I'd like to see a full 90 for RLC and Clarke-Salter. Ah what the heck throw Amelia on goal for good measure!! Lol

Thank god this season ends right here! Never been relieved for a season to end.

Amen.

So glad there is the Euro's. I don't want to hate football like I've felt a couple of times this season.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Amelia play

So to the last game of a tough season (had much tougher in the 50+ years i have followed the blues).Hoping for a good open game and a win.Good chance to applaud Leicester for their superb season,it just shows what teamwork can acheive.I hope Eden continues his good form.Good luck in your retirement Guus and please sign that contract John.Onwatds and upwards.....UP THE CHELS !

Ive had worse seasons since i started following Chelsea (a 7 year old in 1970!) but i will be glad to see the back of this one. Beating Liverpool would have been some form of redemption but we denied ourselves even that.

Im looking forward to the summer, i think Conte will make us a more formidable side and i expect us to play with more verve and guts next season.

lets please give the youngsters a chance ,  unfortunately we have nothing to play for but pride , so there's no reason to deny some of the younger members of the squad a challenge
