Jose Mourinho thread

Featured Replies

Mourinho knows that anything he does is used as ammo, if he signed the shirt it would have been blown massively out of proportion by a load of f**kwits so he did the right thing

Who in his sane mind would blow something as trivial as signing a t shirt out of proportion? It was a kid. Sane united fans would recognize that this guy spent 7 years at a club and the fans of that club are bound to have some love. The people you might be alluding to should not be taken into consideration anyway because of their lack of logic.

Just wondering why we have a thread for this ex manager......despite the years he spent with us and a few trophies in the cabinet why does this forum  spend so much time with him as a topic of conversation?  He's done, he's got his dream job with the enemy, so why does this forum still have a thread with his name  attached.....a  love in perhaps?  He's gone.......get over it!

I'll always respect and think fondly of Jose despite how it ended.

He is the most successful ever manager in our entire history and changed the whole ethos of the club after all.

Nothing wrong with the fans showing that appreciation after endless trophies and good times IMO.

Thank f**k for a voice of reason.

Some respect and love for the man who won us the top prize after a wait of half a century. Something I never dreamed I would see in my lifetime. He made that happen.

And then he done it again.

And to those who laughably suggest he threw last season? Yeah right oh, Jose always wanted the United job just like Frank always wanted to play for Citeh and to finish his career there.

Maybe because he achieved things we dreamed of, only when he comes to the Bridge and kisses the Utd badge will we realise he is the ultimate professional, the best at what he does. He loves the job he is in, the respect it carries but lets not kid ourselves he is no more a Chelsea fan than he is a Porto fan , Inter,Real or United fan .He says the right things at the right times to the supporters who lap him up. We are here forever but the employees of the club will change allegiance at the drop of a hat.

If he had signed it, i doubt it wouldve even made the news.

You've seen Twitter, Facebook, sky sports etc right? Of course it would, if a player/manager/owner farts in the wrong direction social media loses its sh*t.

After everything that went on at Chelsea it's pretty obvious that he's currently keeping his head down, stay away from anything controversial.

Bored of this thread now. Lets talk about how Mr Di Matteo is doing in his new job instead.

So bored you felt the need to come into the thread to tell people you were bored? You understand just how stupid that is right? You also understand that if your bored of it you can erm.....not read it.

Nice 4-1 defeat to Dortmund for Jose's United today ...

Every Utd defeat (especially a big loss like that, despite it being pre-season friendly) now gives me that nice warm feeling that I only used to get for Sp*rs, Arsenal & Liverpool defeats.

May it be the first of many!!

We also have a Brendan Rodgers thread

Mata had similar treatment with us just before he departed. I remember it was a FA cup match against some lower division team, and he didn't even get off the bench to play a part, because Jose wanted to lock down the result. Jose has already started war of words with Wenger and Klopp over the Pogba transfer, it's not going to be friendly season.

He said clubs complaining arent top clubs, and because Man Utd are a top club they can do this business.

Man Utd fans will be tossing his salad soon with those sorts of comments

Love it. He's setting things up nicely.

Pride comes before a fall.

I'm currently very much enjoying the Jose show from afar, i never really minded it here truth be told. I'm sure when he starts on in us i'll change my tune but for now it keeps things boiling nicely.

Has the prem era ever had this many ego's at one time - Klop, Conte, Jose, Pep, Wenger - all hot headed and all have had considerable success however you slice it.

I personally feel united are going to walk away with the league - the have majorly strenghthend there spine this season, For me Jose it still the best manager in the world and i don't buy in to the short term stuff. It's very telling for me that the players that came in last year have all been booted this season.

That said I'm over it and i'm excited to see where this new relationshop with Conte goes, it's clear he shares many of the attributes you see in Jose which I think are very important. The one thing that can be thrown at jose is he could be over pragmatic, i think that could annoy people, it will be interesting to see if Conte is the same

I'm the same although I can't see Jose turning on us...there is too much respect there I'd imagine. His focus will be on getting the better of Wenger and Pep, his 2 long term foes.

I too think United are going to win this season at a canter tbh, Jose has his players and the spine of their side is really strong now.

I think when the pressure is on, say Conte is right behind him or ahead he will snipe at him, us or both. If we know one thing about JM it is that he is ruthless and only cares about himself.

Can't really see why folk are saying that at this early stage. I guess it's the money Utd have spent and the Jose factor but I think (and hope) it will be a really tight, interesting season. with loads of twists and turns.

For me they have got in the right players and have the best manager who knows the league inside out. We know when Jose comes into a club the players literally run through walls for him...guys like Zlatan, Pogba, Rooney and co with that mindset will be too much for the rest IMO.

City have signed really good, young players who will no doubt go on to make them a force but in a year or two's time.

Short term I see this as United title.
