December 22, 20169 yr Can't understand where this hatred towards José is coming from, I never thought I'll ever read drivel like the pages before on this board.
December 22, 20169 yr Jose's trolling us again,, just couldn't say a 'well done Chelsea' in a straight face. We dominated most of the 1:0 wins, last game we were probably under the pump for a while until Cesc came on. We didn't play defensively, we just couldn't finish teams off. Looking at Conte's subs, how many times has he put on a Mikel or a defender for Hazard with more than 5 to play?
December 22, 20169 yr Think everyone reading his comments, whether Chelsea fans or not, will laugh at how stupid he comes across...utter nonsense...
December 22, 20169 yr We just need to understand the man we once loved has changed a lot in the last 12 years, the old Jose has long gone.

His comments state the obvious with a good dose of underlying bitterness. You only have to compare his comments to other PL managers that Chelsea's 3-4-3 have conquered whereby their praise is very explicit without subtle digs. I know this because he is tried to gain acceptance from the media about his own brand of 'attacking' football at Utd, trying to divert the stigma around him of being a defensive manager.

Just like Jose once said (when he was almost like God and resulted in bitterness towards Lamps) once you move to a rival, the love story is over. My disdain for Jose didn't just happen in a flash. It gradually got worse and worse. Here's how: 1 - The completely random and nonsensical attack on Eva 2- Constant excuses and moaning when the team was losing week in week out. 3- Not dropping those underperforming players and damaging their reputation with fans who embarrassingly targeted them as rats 4 - Making excuses about lack of transfer funds (chequebook manager) resulting in many fans looking for a scapegoat in Emanalo as if he is the enemy of this club (do me a favour). 5 - Selling Mata and KDB (now he plays mata at his true love) resulting in guys he opted for in Oscar being found out. This meant he required another £100m to spend when in fact a good piece of nurturing and man management could've avoided this with stars already on the books. 6 - Digging out our home fans. OK I agree we aren't the best, but don't duck up to Liverpool and Utd in the process of doing so. 7....you get the jist.I could write another 3 more points at least but those 6 are enough to show why I personally dislike him.
December 23, 20169 yr "You have to be honest and say that is very difficult. It's not just the difference in points, it's also the Chelsea philosophy of playing,' he said. 'They score one goal and they win. They defend a lot. They defend well ... They don't care what people say, what people think. They just want to win. And, because of that, I don't see them losing many points.' Backhanded compliment there.
December 23, 20169 yr Our philosophy isn't to score one goal and defend, anyone that's watched the last three games will know that, so actually he is wrong. As for us not caring what people say, what people think, that's the siege mentality that he brought to the club in the first place and the mentality of us v.s them that he brings to every club he manages. We know that Jose is always playing mind games, even when he isn't you always wonder, because he does it so frequently, but he used to be better at it. The comments that bug me though, is his recent tirade about the fixture list, suggesting that other teams have it easier, if he is referring to us, then we have it easier because of him, it's ironic but he probably knows that. He's just getting his excuses in early, but that's no different from Wenger who always needs a few excuses each season, a lot of fans are also spouting the same nonsense. At the end of the day, I don't think class was ever Jose's strong suit, but he's one of the greatest mangers of all time and we were lucky to have him, surely we can all question where we'd be if he hadn't of come in and done such a great job in 2004.

We'd have won titles, Roman wouldn't have accepted anything else! We were just as good for Jose as he was for us.
December 23, 20169 yr I'm sure we would have won titles, but would we have won two titles so early? Jose played a huge part in our success and helped to make us a force to be reckoned with. He brought the right players in, found a balance of strength and pace in the team, he built the siege mentality and was great tactically.
December 23, 20169 yr we had jose at his peak and he was awesome!! we should be honoured for that but the king is dead long live the king !! jose is now the enemy

December 23, 20169 yr Btw regarding the fixture list, everyone seems to have forgotten that we played Sunderland on Wednesday night and then had to travel back to London to play palace on Saturday morning; Whilst Liverpool, our closest rivals played on Monday night a full two days extra rest for them. We could easily have lost the palace game based on fatigue and dropped points to them but you don't see us moaning about it.
December 23, 20169 yr Or that we had three lunchtime weekend kick offs in a row, two of them away from home, including at city...a notoriously hard time to play
December 23, 20169 yr 2 PL wins in 3 years, then 1 win in 7 years. For all our success I feel we underachieved in the league after we let José go the first time. To me this speaks volumes about his quality as a manager because our squad did not get significantly weaker. Yes, things went sour the second time around and he did say some shockingly stupid things during and after but not even close enough to lose his legend status. I still have an enormous amount of respect and appreciation for the man and for what he did for our club. Can't wish him much luck or any success while he's at Manu but I suspect it won't last that long and his rhetoric about us will change sharply when he leaves. Until then I simply ignore his remarks, we all know how he operates. Loved when he did it for us, not going to get offended by or criticise it now.

I'm not sure how showing him respect for his time at Chelsea is kissing his arse. He is the enemy now and believe me, I want him to end up with egg on his face, if he ended up being fired at United, then I'd feel no remorse for him, anywhere else in the world and I'd wish him all the best. However, just because he is at United and he's playing his usual games, doesn't mean we should pretend that he didn't have a huge impact on this club, I don't understand that attitude. December 23, 20169 yr Disappointed that's hes had a pop at both the fans and club. I appreciate that he may feel bitter about being sacked if he should be respectful and not say anything. After all, it was Jose that came out looking bad last season, not the club. Also I love how Jose is having a go at us for playing negative football as if he is trying to play expansive and attacking football. He's trying to fool the United board and fans into thinking he is.
December 23, 20169 yr If you're saying it based on a tweet that's using the Mirror as a source with no actual quotes then I guess it must be true. Don't let anything to spoil your agenda, I'm sure if you keep up all Chelsea fans will hate José the way you do in no time.
