August 17, 20169 yr What world class CB is available? The board cant just invent one Seriously, you are telling me there isnt another CB we could buy that is on par with KK for £50-60m. Come on.
August 17, 20169 yr heard arsenal are sniffing around gimenez. he is thought to have potential to be one of the best at cb and his release clause is 60 million euros. don't see atletico letting him go, and don't see him wanting to leave either.
August 17, 20169 yr Hummels went for like 35 m to a rival ffs. i guess conte likes koulibaly power, speed and size over hummels' attributes. Edited August 17, 20169 yr by enigma
August 17, 20169 yr Chelsea have made their move for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly – for what could be a club-record fee of £60million . Conte could move to a back-three if he signs Koulibaly, a formation he has favoured in previous posts with Juventus and Italy. And neither is Koulibaly expected to be Chelsea’s final big signing, with the club still in the market for another striker. There’s a growing sense that Chelsea will, finally, test Everton’s resolve to hold onto Romelu Lukaku before the window closes. Koulibaly, who has also previously played as a DM and at full-back, has the pace and power that Conte believes he need. Edited August 17, 20169 yr by havelschayes
August 17, 20169 yr What about Van Dijk from Southampton? had a good season last year and is a ball playing CB too.
August 17, 20169 yr Really not sure what it means when a fee of 60m is thrown about. These headline transfer fees sound crazy but my guess is that the fee would be 40m plus bonus payments bringing it up to 50-60m. Even that 40m won't likely be paid upfront but in instalments. Still a lot of money — but missing out on your transfer targets can be equally expensive as we found out last year.
August 17, 20169 yr F it , go out and get him for 60 please Roman, then spunk another 60 on Lukaku, F the mancs- CFC needs to make a statement !!!!
August 17, 20169 yr Hummels went for like 35 m to a rival ffs. But if we wanted Hummels, they would demand £60m, the same with every team in the Premier League now. The extra money going into the Premier League isn't as much of a good thing as people thought it would be.
August 17, 20169 yr I rate Hummels as a CB but there isn't an abundance of pacey forwards in the Bundesliga to expose his lack of pace (he's similar to JT in that respect). Koulibaly on the other hand is ready made for the Premier League.... seems to have everything. £60m although inflated still represents value for money if taking into consideration the fact JT cost the club nothing in transfer fees. August 17, 20169 yr Wasn't Hummels in the last year of his contract? £60mil is bonkers, but so is £50mil for stones. Hope we get him though. Looks like a f**king tank.
August 17, 20169 yr In a market where a 32 year old Ashley Williams costs £12m I don't care what we pay, just want to see a half decent defender sign finally.
August 18, 20169 yr Hope we get him big strong defender, I know its a lot of money, but we need to pay up and strengthen at the back. I would love a Zouma-Koulibaly pairing.
August 18, 20169 yr But if we wanted Hummels, they would demand £60m, the same with every team in the Premier League now. The extra money going into the Premier League isn't as much of a good thing as people thought it would be. Unlikely as they didn't want to sell him to Bayern in the first place. If there was an increase in price it would be more down to Hummels reluctant to join any other club apart from Bayern.
August 18, 20169 yr napoli bought him for £7m, tried to sell him last season, had a great one season that rocketed his price to about £25-30mil and now there's a ridiculous £60m offer on the table if de laurentis rejected this he must be the thickest c**t in the whole universe
August 18, 20169 yr Napoli won't be getting that much for him again. It's highly unlikely anyway. It could turn out utd made the better choice if bailly turns out to be a quality cb.

Funny how Bailly had apparently been on Jose's radar for a few seasons according to his comments during utds pre season but we weren't rumoured with him at all and José went for Papy. As for KK I hope we get him and he adjusts quickly. Looks ready made for the epl though
August 18, 20169 yr it's obvious that papy wasn't jose's signing suppose baily was his second choice after stones last season, hillarious that we ended up with papy lol Edited August 18, 20169 yr by havelschayes
