February 16, 20233 yr Time to bump his name back to page 1. Back in full training, hopefully the surgery coupled with proper rest will have worked. Perfect foil for Enzo.

"He's coming back, he's coming back. He's coming, Kantes coming back. If the medical team have got him right this time via an op and plenty of rest, this could be the game changer for Potter. His performance against Spuds is still the best in a blue shirt this season.

Hopefully this injury doesn't hurt him the way it did Essien because on paper Enzo is his best and most complementary partner yet.

March 9, 20233 yr It feels like it is getting closer, if it coincides with an uptick in form will be fantastic I actually think it will create a problem for Potter, albeit a nice one to have. It really opens up a lot of possibilities in terms of formation, it’s been blowing my mind who the first 11 should be and formation, perhaps a midfield diamond or back to what TT used to call “double 6” with Chilly and Reece pushing on like Tuesday night ……… more sleepless nights for me 😂 Edited March 9, 20233 yr by andy
April 4, 20233 yr I'm beyond delighted he is looking like he's not been physically affected by his injury as Enzo will be his best partner yet. Now please Bruno/new manager manage his minutes properly to protect against more injuries. Edited April 4, 20233 yr by Argo
April 4, 20233 yr He was brilliant before getting injured against Tottenham, and he's come back playing exactly the same way. It's very rare to see a footballer do that. Probably only Robben could go off for a few months and come back just as good again.
April 4, 20233 yr Glad to see a #6 is a priority in the summer. As stated above, Kante's minutes needs to be managed. Enzo, Kante, Kovacic, Santos, New CM
April 5, 20233 yr Kante is continuing to show why it is very difficult for any manager not to overplay Kante. When you have a dm who can play in opp box, in your box, on the wing, winning the ball up high, winning the ball down low. It is like you are cheating. Once you taste Kante drug, it is hard to stop. He's the oil in our engine... when he's not there... it all just grinds to a halt Long term succession planning required at Chelsea to replace key players like Kante and dare I say it: Cech, JT, Lampard and Drogba Presume that is the Director of Football's job... where they've been for the last 10 years nobody knows.
April 5, 20233 yr He's going to win us the champions league.... Todd just went out and signed three world class midfielders with this guy back... Who's getting dressed outside the cobham changing room for Kante the gentleman?
April 5, 20233 yr Looked like a player who was match fit straight from the start. Fingers crossed the op plus a proper rehabilitation has helped fix his injury woes. Giggs had similar problems. Manage his minutes carefully and get him signed up on a new deal. A fit Kante changes our pedestrian midfield and adds so much dynamism, he can help unlock the potential of Enzo.
April 5, 20233 yr Honestly don't know how we'll ever replace him when he retired or leaves. He's carried our midfield since 2017.
