December 11, 20169 yr The 'meeja' love to give us a good kicking don't they, any opportunity to have a go. Now several reporting that we could be looking at a points deduction because the club "has been charged 5 times in 19 months for failing to control it's players." With the press stirring the pot as usual, nothing would surprise me when it comes to the FA.
December 11, 20169 yr surprise surprise its from the mirror aka daily arsenal expecting an all out media campaign also other teams to start trying to rile our players up from now on
December 11, 20169 yr Wouldn't surprise me if the FA did this, they love bending their rules in any way possible to hurt us.'Failing to control our players' what an absolute joke. Tottenham was clearly at fault last season, and last time it was obviously City who stepped out of line. All in all it seems fair to deduct points from us yeah..
December 11, 20169 yr May be our old boys should visit the headquarter of the FA, when they are complete. Edited December 11, 20169 yr by nominator
December 11, 20169 yr Apparently the article was written by a Manchester City fan... feeling desperate perhaps?
December 11, 20169 yr OK so we just leave rival players try break our legs and not react f**king hell. Remember the matic incident where he pushed a player Barnes I think it was and got dent off because Barnes nearly broke he's leg. They say there's no passion in football anymore and then when passion is shown they want to deduct points. It's a joke.
December 11, 20169 yr This failure to control players thing always confuses me. how does a club control what an individual does on the pitch. In the heat of the moment things happen. We've seen a lot worse over the years and never been a word uttered about points deductions.
December 11, 20169 yr This article provides some useful detail. http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2016/12/11/13911006/chelsea-manchester-city-fracas-fa-fine-points-deduction-draconian-punishment I would like to think that with the Conte regime change they won't go this far. it would be unprecedented and frankly the behaviour of our players wasn't that dreadful. Nobody threw a punch. None of the City staff or players was hurt. That might not be enough for some at the FA though.
December 11, 20169 yr It is a joke from an AntiChelsea FA : 1) Tottenham players were thugs Last year ..everybody saw that this year they were behaving better at Stamford Bridge. 2) Aguero did a leg breaker on Luiz...for a seocnd time” remember cup the final pelvis stamp"..he loves lunging into Luiz .” Unpunished “ may be he wants to kill David Luiz Wants to know how many Arsenal Fans are there in the board. We will suffer numerous accusations until we win the league..understood.
December 11, 20169 yr Started by Simon Mullock in The Mirror, a Man City fan, according to his twitter page, British sports journalists are notoriously awful, some of the worst in the world, they're always stirring the pot. It's a punishment that's only been dished out once and it's a completely nonsensical, unsporting punishment, if the FA threaten to use it, it shows how out of touch they really are. December 11, 20169 yr Personally I think we should be stripped of our European Cup, and made to play in the SPL for a few seasons.
December 11, 20169 yr Really? Failing to control our players? That all-in brawl wasn't even started by us and Man City's players behaved even worse during the fracas than we did. Fine us sure, but a points deduction is IMO going to far. Even Serie A doesn't do this to my knowledge.
December 11, 20169 yr Conte questioned on it and said ‘are you joking’? He has no idea about this situation, though according to some journo's Chelsea were warned about the possibility of a deduction, absolute load of nonsense from the press, looking to create a storm and distract us.
December 11, 20169 yr http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/742290/Chelsea-Antonio-Conte-Premier-League-Diego-Costa-West-Brom-Manchester-City-News " FA sources said that an independent commission would be looking at the case but that a fine is a much more likely punishment." I doubt even FA would be stupid enough to possibly ruin this season title race over nothing. Punish us if we ever act like Tottenham and get 9-10 yellow cards/red cards in a game and go mental. Edited December 11, 20169 yr by comtrend
December 11, 20169 yr Why should they punish a manager for something he had no control of last year. New manager new mentality just look at the difference in Costa surely conte should be getting praise for controlling he's players more then the threat of being deducted points like I said earlier it's a joke
December 11, 20169 yr Your talking about an association that collectively covered up widespread paedophile gangs, hacked a dead child's mobile phone, constantly lie and twist things to meet their own agenda. They are controlled and never have good intentions.
December 11, 20169 yr It would be daft for them to do but you cannot put anything past the fa. I mean if they did it, even if it was only a small points deduction of 1 or 2 points the message sent to the other 19 teams is clear. Go after Chelsea, try to break their players, start a ruckus and we will deduct them points and only fine you. By the time February comes around we could be in the relegation zone at that rate lol. December 12, 20169 yr according to matt law (only decent british journalist that i know of) Chelsea are expected to escape a points deduction over the charge of failing to control their players against Manchester City. The Football Association charged Chelsea and City for the clash between both sets of players after Sergio Agüero’s foul on David Luiz. Chelsea were last season warned that they could be hit with a points deduction for more bad behaviour after being fined £375,000, which was reduced to £290,000 on appeal, for the brawl with Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge. But it is thought highly unlikely the FA will make Chelsea the first club since Arsenal and Manchester United in 1990 to be punished with a points deduction. With Antonio Conte’s side topping the Premier League table, Chelsea would fight hard against any points deduction and could argue that the offence was the club’s first under Conte and that many of the players involved in the clash at City were acting as peacemakers. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/12/11/chelsea-expect-escape-points-deduction-following-brawl-man-city/
December 12, 20169 yr It would be an absolute disgrace if we are charged, AT ALL. It should fall soley on City's heads. Aguero's career ender should not be swept under the carpet, what a load of crap.
December 12, 20169 yr That wording tho. "Escape a points deduction", makes it sound like we should be but aren't.
