March 18, 20179 yr a repeat of this in the first teams' game in a couple of weeks' time would do nicely our youth set up is clearly the best in England
March 18, 20179 yr Absolutely amazing performance from the young guys, there's some scarily good prospects in that team. Some of these guys really should make it. The thought of having the Chalobah brothers playing through our spine for years to come really excites me!
March 18, 20179 yr fancy Stoke in the final after today's game - I wonder what their youth version of Shawcross is like
March 18, 20179 yr Great win, good to see us play a similar game at youth team to the seniors. Castillo looks a player. Jody needs to brush up on his celebrating, a lesson from the boss is required.
March 18, 20179 yr Thought Jacob Maddox was excellent in the middle of the park today. Always seemed to have plenty of time and always looked to play a positive pass. The Dutch lad Castillo at left wing back was the other stand out for me. Took his goal very well indeed.

This has been an enjoyable demolition, can't wait to see Jody Morris take over from Conte in 4 or 5 years.... who would have thought morris would be such a good coach. it seems it's always the average players who turn out to be impressive coaches.

Im not one for demanding youth to play but if we only manage to sign one wingback this summer should we have him as 4th choice switching between first team and reserve? Also i wouldn't be against Mount getting Josh 10/11 type minutes next term either.
March 19, 20179 yr Just saw the result. It's great that the lads are through again, and even better that they walloped Spurs in the process
March 19, 20179 yr Castillo was excellent ,as were the team in general. For a first visit inside the ground for my boy ,he picked a pretty decent game ! Let's hope every future game he sees against that lot ends the same ! :-)
April 6, 20179 yr Anyone know if dates have been set for the two-leg final - couldn't see anything on CFC or FA website? Came across this article - not totally accurate but does have a point. http://www.cherwell.org/2017/04/05/the-gradual-death-of-the-fa-youth-cup/

April 18, 20179 yr 1-0 half time, fully deserved too, probably should have had more though city had a couple of chances too. Hudson odoi has been outstanding, they just can't handle him.
April 18, 20179 yr Granted City have had a couple of chances, but we have dominated most of the play on their own pitch...we really are a cut above at this level...just a shame that it all seems rather futile...win another youth cup and then what?

Our youth are easily the best domestically over the last 5 years and have been the best in Europe for the last two years, madness to think that not one of them will Carve out a name for them selves
April 18, 20179 yr Strange game in the end...looked like we could step up another gear if we wanted to, but seemed happy with 1-1...poor goal to concede, although it looked like our played was fouled when he lost the ball

Callum is excellent but a little less outrageously talented than a couple of the City lads. He is very active however and gets himself into the game which gives him a chance to make an impact. He did that to great effect last night. If either of the City 'stars', Foden & Diaz, get as involved in the game at The Bridge we'll have our hands full. Even though Foden pounced on the turnover to score a very well taken goal yesterday, we marshalled him, and Diaz, pretty well for mostof the game. Whether or not we can repeat that next week will be a key to the outcome. Edited April 19, 20179 yr by OhForAGreavsie
