If so they better hope Valdes has a stormer like Hennessey did because if so we are going to create a lot of chances like we did that day boro have been notoriously poor up top this season, so where all of a sudden they're going to become real madrid i don't know. they know we're going to come out with intentions to murder them as we want that title more than they don't want relegation.
May 8, 20179 yr Can't take the stress if we fail to win this. I just want the title wrapped up as soon as possible now.
May 8, 20179 yr I expect them to sit deep and throw long balls to their attacking players, and a lot of pressing. We struggle against this kind of teams, so it won't be that easy, but I expect a win. We are playing at home and we will be behind the team 120% because we all know how important these three points are to get the title.
May 8, 20179 yr Their defence rarely gives up gifts, theyve a defensive record worthy of the top 10 but they cant score for s**t. Theyve won 1, drawn 7 and lost 9 of their other away games, scoring 10 and leaving in 24, it mightnt be a romp but we should get the job done tonight by 2 goals. I'd love a win and a clean sheet and for Courtois to take the golden glove in the process at the end of the year. Edited May 8, 20179 yr by Delnino
May 8, 20179 yr Tottenham really couldn't have picked a better time to drop points, with Luiz and Kante being out! Now they've dropped points I feel a lot more relaxed about this game. Even if we drop points we're still 4 or 5 points ahead with 3 games to go. The intense pressure we've been under over the past few weeks has loosened it's grip and we should see the game out with a victory. Come on Chelsea!
May 8, 20179 yr The boys know we need two wins out out of the four remaining games to be crowned champions and i am certain we will do it by Friday. Even without Luiz and Kante who are still not confirmed as out, we should see this game out. And also officially relegate Middlesbrough as they relegated us in the 87-88 season.
May 8, 20179 yr Hopefully Chelsea will get the win and then go to the Hawthorns and finish the job. As far as the match is concerned, I reckon that it will be an easy victory given that Boro haven't won here in 42 years. If anyone want a preview, check this out. https://jamestgregoryblog.wordpress.com/2017/05/07/blue-glory-in-sight/

If we go in to those last 3 games needing just 3 more points I think even the most pessimistic of us will feel more confident. Everton was a big step, this is the last big hurdle imo.

I know we have had pay-back a few times since then and the '97 FA Cup Final win was sweet, but that day at The Bridge in 1988 when they relegated us to the old Div 2, to this day, it remains my worst as a Chelsea fan. It would be great to be 3 points nearer our next PL tonight and at the same time relegate that lot. COME ON THE CHELS!

However a lot of fans that are older than me remember it very well in detail. I've been told about it and how we bounced back to never see the second division to this day. The older fans had it much harder, these days the younger fans are spoiled to the core. Without titles and cups would probably jump ship as soon as possible.
May 8, 20179 yr Intensity Intensity Intensity Intensity ... vital tonight, start this way and we win comfortable
May 8, 20179 yr Prediciting a tough game tonight. Reasonably solid at the back are Middlesborough but an early goal should see us win comfortably.
May 8, 20179 yr So nervous and so glad this is at home. Feel for those Boro fans though, that's some distance to travel on a Monday evening...!
May 8, 20179 yr Though I can muster up nerves for most matches regardless of opponent, I feel a complete demolition coming today. 4-0 or 5-0. I think the Chels will be in the mood. We can feel the title. Prove me right lads!! Come on you Chelsea!!

May 8, 20179 yr I tend to be cautious and very rarely try and call a result ahead of time but we are playing a team tonight who have scored just 26 goals this season, I really can't see them giving us any problems at all. I'm feeling quietly confident....3 or 4 nil to us. The title is now in sight.
May 8, 20179 yr Hearing that Luiz and Kante are unlikely to play and I believe Courtois is still injured suggests this could be close.
May 8, 20179 yr Getting slightly nervous for this match now. Not sure why really, it's boro at home. Lets get a couple of early goals in the 1st half and enjoy the rest of the game stress free. COME ON CHELSEA!!!!!
