i dunno, but just wanna say i hate this time of the year because people start whining we aren't making moves for every top name out there in the first week of the transfer window and the pessimism starts growing, oh and not to mention there's unreliable links being posted left, right and centre.

Take it easy. I'm sure Conte has plans.

So with the fees received from the sales of Begovic and Caudrado (roughly £30m) added to the sales of Oscar and Mikel in January (roughly £70m) we've got thereabouts £100m in the kitty before considering our sponsorship deals (£60m Nike and £40m Yokohama Tyres).

Also take into account that big wage earners (JT, Ivanovic, Mikel (maybe Oscar)) have left and I think we are in a very strong financial position to strengthen our squad this summer.

Add to that 150 mil for winning the league, I'm expecting lovely things to happen we are owed a killer window

Or we'll end up paying insane money on Lukaku and become a new laughing stock.

Although I wouldn't really care about us becoming a laughing stock, I'd hate to see another Torres situation. I think Lukaku is perhaps the better CF, but personally would prefer if we saved £20 odd million (or whatever the difference may be) and signed Morata.

Every team are upgrading their squads for next season, the Arsenal loss will have told Roman we need to strengthen and spend big and clever, wait patiently guys I have good feelings about this transfer window, hopefully its not the sh*t storm we had last season though..

it would be nice to bring in an unexpected "big" name though for marketing reasons, and obviously to increase the quality in our team. with the murmurs of griezemann leaving atletico and utd being his destination, utd would once again have the upper hand in marketing regards.

No solid links, word is conte has a very clear agenda of who and what he wants, no one saw luiz coming, I think our new approach is to do things very low key, hoping we get hit with big surprises one after the other, the good sort of course, I'm glad conte was rumoured to have his head turned by Milan, Roman may be inclined to try and keep him happy, if ever a window was promising, the manager performance and poor previous windows, although kante, luiz and Alonzo worked out well we were underwhelmed in relation to expectation following our disaster season built partly on the lack of strengthening, let's hope lessons have been learned

So long as no-one posts the 'it's coming' gif, I think this should be a good thread.

This is not an invitation for someone to do it.

I think you mean the Its Happening gif right? And if it is that one, then not happening sir for that GIF is our right.

Same.  Twitter is unbearable this time of year.  I have full confidence in the club and manager.

If we don't strengthen, then younger fringe players will bare the load next season... which not too long ago everyone was crying out for.  Although I think that has cooled a little, when you realise none of the youth players we have sold have gone to any clubs winning regular silverware elsewhere.

Still, with the shrewd business we have done recently, champions of England (and Wales), new sponsor deals, playing in Europe again, and one of the best managers in the world, we should be adding some seriously good, first team ready players to challenge the status quo and push us up another level all together.  Whether that be tomorrow or in August.

However let's not forget, £600M stadiums don't pay for themselves.
