Lyon's president confirmed they will be buying Traore and they're working out details

Shame, didn't get much of a chance. I don't suppose we could use it as leverage for Lacazette, probably not.

Shame it didnt work out, he could have ideally been in the same position as Bats was this season had we not bought him. Hope he goes with a buy back clause though, hes only 21 and has plenty of potential

Everton signed a Lukaku replacement and Monaco have signed a replacement for Bakayoko. Pretty much confirms what some have been saying, we're waiting to announce

It's about to go down. Fingers crossed

apparently deals aren't being announced because the kit deal with nike (which starts on july 1st im assuming). not going to hold up a chelsea kit wearing adidas when we are changing it the next month. saying that we could of at least tied down hazard and thibaut down to new deals in the meantime...

A very weird one, this.

I mean does this mean Chalobah and Baker will be trusted in the mid?

I have not seen us being linked to any other CM other than Bakayoko.

This just seems weird and so wrong. We are strengthening our rivals and giving them exactly what they want.

Matic has agreed terms with United, apparently.

Interesting.  Certainly a Jose type of player, and this may mean that Baka is on his way.

Obviously i have nothing to base any of this off of, but neither do the people who actually write this stuff

This is my concern. I don't think losing Matic hurts us, it's the idea of giving a rival what they want that seems stupid. It didn't exactly hurt us selling Arsenal Cech but they are a different animal than United.

Maybe signing Matic doesn't work out but if he does they could beat us to trophies. That scenario shouldn't be allowed to happen if we can help it

Less than a week left. Let's see if this Nike contract talks is real. At least if they're going to do a video of it or whatever, make it at least better than the s**t with Pogba. That was just cringeworthy

I am sure that there will be no announcements until the Nike deal (apparently Nike want loads of publicity around the deal).  Many of the players we've been linked with were all over the gossip columns in early June and things of gone quiet since, I hope that means they are effectively done deals.  This certainly applied to Lukaku and Baka, but also all the VVD and Morata babble has died down to.  Let's see what happens...

so talk of ake leaving and traore pretty much gone. if the figures are true then from both those sales we could receive close to £40m. add begovic to that and that's almost £50m. not too shabby at all.

Quite the fire sale we're having. It's like footy manager.

anyone know what our net profit is including January sales? Have we even bought a player since last summer?

Traore sold for 8.8million, anyone think we should have gotten atleast 15?

I do. That is terrible considering he made a European Final...that's without even taking the inflated market into account.

€10 million and a 15% next sale profit, I know negotiated buy back arrangements arent allowed in French football (Source, amongst many) so im really not that enthralled about losing him.

Wow. Lets just hope he sells for 100 million in his next move then, huh?

Terrible deal for us. All the talk was of £20m and we don't even get half that...

I agree, if we were trying to buy Traore from Lyon, I am sure we would be quoted something stupid like £30m

Wonder where that 20 mil figure originates from. Weird how that worked into a lot of what I read. Was that some sort of medicine to numb the blow by the club or some kind of misinterpretation. I'm surprised Ajax didn't want him back at the price Lyon paid too, maybe to do with the clash about attitude with Traore like on the link I posted earlier. Surely even big Dutch teams could afford that price you would think.
