August 20, 20178 yr Huuuuuge result. Who needs Alex Sandro? Luiz, Kante: the character those two showed was just elite. Massively under the kosh. So many tackles and interceptions. Bakayoko was great on debut as well. Dave marshaled superbly today and Andreas (our youth in the middle of defence!!!) and Rudiger coped well in the second half under pressure. Perhaps the only disapointment was in the striking department. Moratas miss and Michy's goal the two worst moments. Also we finished with 11! Hooray!

Been on the bandwagon for years, he'll step right in the center spot when Luiz goes as well. Edited August 20, 20178 yr by TheChelseaBlues
August 20, 20178 yr f**king brilliant performance today. First 30 mins we were the better side with Morata missing that sitter and of course the goal. Spurs then dominated the rest of the half and for most of the 2nd half, but ours defence stood firm. Alonso will get the plaudits today, but for me Kante was absolutely f**king heroic today, that guy really is our rock. Bayayoko did well considering it was his first start. He'll improve and go on to have a great partnership with Kante. I really hope now our board buys at least 3 quality players next week. This was a great victory, but we still desperately need to add to this squad, but things are looking up compared to last week. Hopefully Hazard is back soon too, maybe we'll see him against Everton. But for now I'm going to enjoy this win. COME ON CHELSEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

August 20, 20178 yr Our midfield today was massive. Bakayoko-Kante-Luiz didn't lose out to Wanyama-Dier-Dembele or Wanyama-Sissoko-Dembele. Sissoko was practically invisible.
August 20, 20178 yr So many tackles and interceptions. While they dominated possession I don't think we gave them much of a sniff on goal. A real solid display from a pretty depleted squad. Awesome.
August 20, 20178 yr Author Marcus Alonso, Bambi on ice. Scores at Wembley, not once but twice. Curled a free kick over the Tottenham wall. Didn't score three, but deserves the match ball.

RUDIGER over Cahill for lyfe... And we need a 3rd choice striker i dont care if he is from the championship Batshuayi cant be trustred. I am sure alonso looked up , Saw batshuayi and said f**k it i will shoot from this tight angle

August 20, 20178 yr Spurs have won 2 matches at New Wembley. Chelsea have won 4 FA Cups at New Wembley.
August 20, 20178 yr Has to be big questions asked about the ref...how did Dier stay on the pitch and how didn't Vertonghen get his marching orders?
August 20, 20178 yr Christensen has a massive future glad he was thrown into the mix today, coped superbly. He was understandably shaky early on but grew into the game. You can see why big teams were sniffing about for him.
August 20, 20178 yr I hope everyone leaves Alonso alone. The dude is good. He's not world class but he is just lovable for Chelsea! Consistent and delivers...
August 20, 20178 yr Really really well done today and the physicality of this team is really going to be huge this season. Bakayoko is going to be so good for us for years. Same with Christensen. So excited to see him get a chance. Willian was poor but had a 10 minute or so stretch where he turned it on and was untouchable. Morata's legs quit about halfway through but he kept pushing. Glad we got to remind the spuds who their Daddy is.
