December 21, 20187 yr This proud Chelsea moment was brought to you by the Chelsea board ( #NotEmenalosFault )
January 30, 20197 yr Apparently West Ham have shown an interest in taking Drinkwater on loan until the end of the season. Be interesting to see how open we would be to that seeing as we're no longer signing a replacement for Fabregas, Sarri hinted in his press conference yesterday that he'd reevaluate Drinkwater's role at the end of the transfer window if we didn't sign anyone else.

DD is not an effective backup to Jorginho. Ampadu, Barkley and Kovacic could do that role more effectively.
January 30, 20197 yr You would think we would let him go, I can't even remember the last time he was on the bench.
January 30, 20197 yr No way he's leaving permanently. He's keep going on loan until his contract is up.

January 30, 20197 yr Was it me or when he did play last season he wasn't too bad at all?, or was it that Bakayako was so bad that it made him look decent?.

He's far from a bad footballer. Wish he'd go on loan or be sold back to a team like Leicester to restart his career. Just not a fit here under Sarri, for sure.
February 5, 20197 yr Honestly i dont know why Sarri doesnt try Drinkwater on Jorginhos spot for a few games. He cant do much worse than Jorginho defensively and passing wise he has a good range and a great shot from distance too.

April 9, 20197 yr https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/8819701/chelsea-danny-drinkwater-drink-drive-smash-party/ No sympathy from me if this is true. He needs to get back to playing, even take a drop in wage to get a move to get his life back on track.

I suppose there isn't much else to do apart from getting c**ted if you know you won't play for Chelsea ever again

Complete waste of a season for Drinkwater this year, though I question why he was frozen out by Sarri almost immediately upon his arrival, I find the argument that Drinkwater is incapable of playing in a 3 man midfield a strange one. If Drinkwater has been drink driving then frankly he's a moron a deserves whatever punishment comes his way.

He's not talented enough to compete with jorginho or fabregas He's not good enough to compete with Kante kovacic He's not good enough to compete with RLC or Barkley 6 players for 3 slots is too many, why include a 7th when we've got an 18 year old in the academy. April 9, 20197 yr He's becoming our own Jack Rodwell, just getting paid drinking water ( or wine) and do f* all. There's no way he'd leave on the contract he's on, and never will he get another contract like that.
