April 11, 20188 yr Side note: news to me that not only are the U-18s going for their 5th FA Cup in a row but they also have not been scored on yet, 26-0.

'Not been scored on yet'. American terms like this are funny, it sounds like you are describing the girl at the bar that hasn't been asked to dance yet! That's no offence by the way. I have family who coach in California, and they come out with some funny things too.

April 14, 20188 yr He showed desire and made forward runs/passes in his last appearance. That’s a big no no for Conte.
April 14, 20188 yr I just want to see him given a go. I know he's young but so what, if you're good enough, then you're old enough. Let's give him a go and see what happens. There is nothing left to play for in the league, now is the perfect time to give this kid some experience.
April 14, 20188 yr I would think he'll be required for the u19 Champion League weekend in Nyon. Add to that the youth cup final, will be surprised to see him on first team duty.

April 14, 20188 yr Probably doesn't help CHO that it's a World Cup year, Conte may not want to rock the boat by upsetting the senior players (i.e. Pedro) who still have a chance of making their WC squads.

I hope he isn't thinking that way. If they don't get a world cup spot, they only have themselves to blame. Edited April 14, 20188 yr by Scott Harris

With the dreadful state of the England team CHO could make it with a good run of form in the first team

The senior team will be his in time (as early as next season maybe - although i am more a pro-loan guy). Edited April 14, 20188 yr by brownindian
April 30, 20188 yr Just helped us to a 5-0 win over Arsenal with 2 goals in the FAYC. Such a brilliant player and if we nurture him right and he continues to develop on his current trend, he will be a top, to player. Is so complete. Will be interesting to see what happens with him next season. He clearly is too good for youth and U23 football and has already made appearances for our first team. A lot will depend if we get in the UCL or not. If we don't I think he will stay with first team while playing cup and Europa League games. If we somehow get into top 4 maybe a loan but he is good enough. Has everything and is still bloody 17. Let that sink in. Got so much potential and seems a pretty much level-headed kid too.
May 1, 20188 yr Hope to god we ship Pedro off and use this lad. No doubt we'll go out and sign another Cuadrado and use him because he cost a large sum instead.

Ya, I'd agree, I hope we can get rid of Pedro and give Odoi some meaningful minutes next year. I'd sell Kenedy too, make a tidy profit on him from Newcastle and go next year with Willian, Hazard, Odoi as the support options. Barkley at a push could play there too so we've decent options, Boga might get a go but thats unlikely. I do think however, that we'll go after Bailey from Leverkusen, who is another exceptional talent and if we had Bailey and Odoi, we'd be pretty much sorted for a decade given their ages.

Callum plays in exactly the same areas that Eden occupies for the first team so I think pairing them would involve shifting Eden. Our Belgian has more experience so it's reasonable to expect him to cope better with a different position. By the way the score in the FA Youth Cup final, second leg was 4-0 (7-1 aggregate), not 5-0. Wait what; sell Kenedy? Haven’t you learnt anything from seeing Lukaku, De Bruyne & Salah? I would bring him back & give him a chance. CHO needs a loan move where he plays regularly not 15mins here & there, loaning him to Newcastle won’t be worst move.

Don't think Kenedy will ever be considered on the same level as Lukaku, KdB or Salah.

He could be a good player for a decent PL side, like Tadic or someone like that but I dont see him making it at a big club. If it was between Odoi or Kenedy for 3rd or 4th choice next year, I'd give it to Odoi all day. I think we'll sell Kenedy and make about 7 or 8m on what we paid for him, he needs to play every week and he wont get it here either but I cant see him having a break out season ala Salah or KDB and coming back to haunt us in 3-5 years.

If we start keeping any Tom, Dick or Harry "because KDB" we will eventually end up relegating ourselves. For one KDB there's 10 Schurrle's, 50 Kakuta and 100 Mancienne's.
May 1, 20188 yr Jody Morris is reported to have said that "The Manager will decide in the Summer whether CHO goes out on loan or not next season". Let's hope if that isn't Conte and it's a new manager he is given the heads-up and the kid doesn't just go out on loan before he's had a chance to evaluate him.
