January 23, 20224 yr Took on his man 3 times, 1st he got him booked, 2nd he ahould have got him sent off, and 3rd created the space for the goal. Just needs to do it more often.
January 23, 20224 yr Would definintely love to see him more adventurous, at the moment he only has the better of 1 man so shouldn't get too carried away but if he can do this against most teams then we have a player on our hands

He was a lot better today than he has been but needs to a) improve more b) find some consistency.
January 23, 20224 yr Needs to take his man on again and again. Then we will see him produce consistently. Also needs to do better than that shocking header. No wonder he rarely ever scores.
January 24, 20224 yr Assist for the first goal, and won the free kick for the second. All round was effective today. Needs to keep this up and conssitently affect games.
January 24, 20224 yr Think the Covid made him a bit sluggish these past few weeks, looked a lot better today. Pre-covid he was arguably our best attacker
January 24, 20224 yr did well.. needs trust and consistent game time.. much better than werner technically... better ball retention and ability to create and pass than pulisic..
January 24, 20224 yr Had good moments today and deserves praise. Just feels he leaves so much out there also. He needs to improve his decision making, go for it more, and end product. But good game today.
January 24, 20224 yr Like the fact he tried to beat the defender on the outside too instead of always cutting in.
February 5, 20224 yr Bang average player IMO. No pace (anymore), can't score and rarely beats his man. If he is going to be a winger, who doesn't beat his man, then he needs to deliver perfect pinpoint crosses, Beckham style or like Wise used to before we realised he was better in the centre. Doesn't do that either (the lump upfront doesn't help mind you).
February 5, 20224 yr In another part of the multiverse he signed with Bayern and became a much better player.
February 5, 20224 yr Really dont understand why we are persisting with him. Has showed zero progression for 2 seasons. Bang average player.
February 5, 20224 yr I believe there is still a role for him at Chelsea. We get a fair number of Japanese tourists at The Bridge. They'd pay £40 a pop to get a photo with Carlton Cole's youngest brother. If that doesn't pan out then we need to move him on this summer. I don't see him making the grade in the English Premier at any level but given the state of European football just now we might still get a reasonable offer from the Italian or French league.

His wages is too high. Either we resign him or he leaves when his contract expires.

This season we have seen: Werner look like a poor man's Nani Havertz a poor man's Dele Alli Lukaku a poor man's Chris Sutton that ate Yokozuna. And CHO a poor man's Gronkjaer with less pace and final ball. And you ask is he better than those two. None of them have looked better than Sunday league on most occasions.
February 6, 20224 yr Last time out in the league his quality opened up the situation which allowed Ziyech to do what he did. Our previous league win before that he made three key contributions that got us the win. I'm not saying he's blown the world away but I think the reviews are overall harsh. Without him we're quite possibly looking at one league win since Chilwell went down.
February 6, 20224 yr he was still certainly better than playing werner on the wings.. has performed better than pulisic too. had the team not missed so many sitters and alonso done a litte bit better offensively than the goal he scored may have been a different story. Part of the reason why Ziyech looks better is because of the work Azpi put in.. Put him on with chilwell in a back 4.. and you will see the difference.

I remember going to the Burnley game in Frank's first season and leaving the ground buzzing about how good he and James looked as a partnership on that side, the word telepathic understanding is used too easily but it really isn't an exaggeration where those two are/were concerned. I don't think we've seen them together on that side much if atall since which is really disappointing. Edited February 6, 20224 yr by Argo
February 6, 20224 yr I'm surprised at a few comments on here, I for one have definitely not cut CHO slack if he's been bad. I missed the first 40 mins of yesterday's game however, from what I saw I was surprised he was taken off. In recent games I've also thought he looked good. I think he plays better as a fwd but always puts a shift in at wb so I don't really see any issues with CHO atm aside from his lack of finishing product which tbh he should be doing better.

If CHO can adapt to putting good balls into front players he might develop another side to his game. He is one of our few players that does find Lukaku. Lookman for me is a better finisher and Gray on his day can run past three players and put in a wonder cross.
February 7, 20224 yr I actually thought he looked good at the weekend, just a shame he has Lukaku up top who is absolutely dog sh*t.
